For people wondering about the start time:

Key game for the Twins. The rest of the road trip is tough—Orioles and Braves—and a one-game lead over Cleveland.

No Buxton (not a surprise), no Kepler and no Kirilloff.

I am a big Kirilloff fan, but he hasn’t been hitting for a while. I do wonder if there is still some wrist pain.

The Old Scribe (Reusse) has a moment of clarity and praises Rocco.

I then had a look at the comments in the dreaded Strib comments section. Oh my lordy was the anti-Rocco sentiment just inflamed. One comment, "I just can't stand the sight of him", lol. Huh? Rather look at Gardy? 😂. Well Reusse has a hand in creating this boiling pot of soup and now is just enjoying himself stirring said pot. As long as you're having a good time Patrick, lol.

Some advice: never read the comments there, tough enough to get through most articles on that paper.

Just get a win today, it would help me get over last nights game. Even an ugly win, as I'm desperate for our Twins to act like a major league team......

Major league teams lose exactly the same number of games as they win. Just not all at the same time.

Yikes do we hope for the best and accept the worst or expect the worse and hope for the best. Is there a difference?

Yes.

Yes I have given up on the Strib comments, but do have a few gawker slow down peaks at it now and then.

The sports section has always been very good IMO. For baseball Phil Miller has always been quietly good at this job. LEN 111 was.... Entertaining? Lol. The new beat writer is Bobby Nightingale Jr, but I haven't formed an opinion of him yet.

Win 54.  Lose 54.  What you do with the other 54 is what matters.*

*not applicable  in OAK this year

The Twins coaches catch a lot of flack. How's about some praise, Hank Conger seems to excel in all his roles. Funny guy too apparently.

Or in KC.

So now Kep doesnt play against RHP because pitcher better against lefty bats?  In a stretch where Kep's bat is alive (for him this year).

Lose the spreadsheet Rocco.

Good discussion in Detroit radio booth about Tigers approach to MN hitters. Get ahead of them; don't nitpick. "They are swingers; throw the ball, they'll swing." Commenter is former MLB pitcher whose voice I do not recognize.

Has worked both series. Let's call it the "Gallo(w)s Guillotine" approach.

Maybe Kepler has lost his starting role. Isn't that at least partly what we all wanted?

Is it just me or does anyone else get annoyed when Twins players start walking to first after taking strike three? It seems like the Twins hitters do this way more often than opposing hitters.

Im sure he is still the starter.  Its Rocco being Rocco is my bet.

Lorenzen is super jacked up. Obviously the guy hits the weights hard. I didn't think that kind of muscle mass was beneficial for pitchers.
