He wasn’t watching ahead of him.

I did that once in Little League.  Burning shame*.  I can't believe a guy with that experience could have such a simple explanation be all there is.

* My entire career in Little League could be described with those words.

Don't know what Julien was thinking there.

I would guess he's thinking most guys score from second on a base hit.  You still have to run with your head up and make sure.  Rookie mistake he'll probably not make again, for a long time.

Poor Ober.  tough enough to win, without your teammates messing up.  But that's being part of a team.

Buxton needs to put the ball in play that AB (obviously)

2023 Twins: single, walk, single. No runs.

Twins are their own worst enemy.  Not a great or bad team, but they keep shooting themselves in the foot, ala Catfish Hunter.

When will the twins learn to run the bases ...

When will the twin learn to make contact in the clutch ...

WHEN ?

It's almost like spring training is nothing more than exhibition games, bullpen sessions and batting practice.

That might have been the left fielder's ball, but Castro pulled up uncertainly. before vainly speeding up again  Perhaps a slight faster, more confident, more experienced CFer would have decided to relieve the LFer of the responsibility.  Dunno.

I was thinking someone more familiar with CF makes that play.

Ober deserved better.

Sure. But he knows that sometimes you get it, sometimes you don’t. Stuff happens. Now, hope he doesn’t let it get to him and he comes back tough. And the offense kicks in.

He didn't get a good break before that so I think definitely catchable with maybe a pretty low probability.

Not sure it'll show up in his statcast page but I'd be curious about the probability if it does.

The Your Minnesota Twins commercial, is spot on. The part where they say that the hitting is unreal. Yep, it is.

The defense has given the Jays 2 runs and jacked up Ober's pitch count. I'd be ticked off big time if I was him.

If he lets that get to him and he falters next inning, that’s on him. It’s how it goes sometimes.
