Not Bremer's best game: he called Pedroia Ellsbury twice. He got Andrew Baily and Andrew Miller mixed up, didn't know where Breslow played last year and (I think) misremembered Breslow's stint with the Twins. He was with the Twins for most of one season and then lost on waivers the next season.

On the plus side, he called Willingham "Willinghammer" twice during the bobblehead promotion segement.

On that terrible throw to the plate where Mauer got the call on the no tag, they both said it was Dozier and not Floriman who threw it. I mean, I'm pretty sure 1 is black and 1 is white, not to mention different positions and numbers...

Pedroia looks like Jojo the dog faced boy.

He does this a lot:

I think we all do that. Or maybe just those of us with deviated septums.

15 LOB (opportunities) at this writing. You kind of know where this one is going.

Curious timing on that post of yours:s-chainsaw:

Ouch. I can't back this up, but it sure feels like we've gone from giving up very few homers to giving up waaaayyy too many over the course of 7-8 games. Damn.

I guess there is a reason why Casey didn't get much chance in his previous organizations. I know he is an extreme fly ball pitcher who hadn't allowed homers until tonight.

That's the hammer of regression coming down hard.

I was about to bawl out Willihammer for the pic of Pedroia that apparently jinxed us, but you're right, I didn't help.

So, what's the over-under for number of batters in the 9th? I say 3, and I'm almost willing to take the under.

On game threads you don't have to back anything up... Just roll with it. Will be rolling with ya.

I'd be shocked if we did a damn thing.

Meanwhile Jared Burton twiddles his thumbs.

Against the rules. Burton must only pitch in the eighth inning with a lead.

So is this Wood character in AAA ready? Fien out of options?
Wood was the LP for Rochester tonight--6.75 ERA (really only one bad outing). Fien has an option.

I'm not so sure... 6th inning... Some reliever is going to have to stretch a little.

They trotted four RH batters out after Ortiz. Seems pretty obvious that Fien is the guy to get stretched out there.

Yeah I hear ya.... But... You have to give Duensing some righties every blue moon or so. Just in case he got better at it.

2 of them were switch hitters.
