Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Buchholz is 6-0 against Vance Worley who is 0-4. Sure looks like a potential problem for our Twins tonight. However... Buchholz is not going to finish the season 25-0... He has to lose sometime... Worley is not going to finish the season 0-20... He has to win sometime. That potential problem based on the records of the starting pitchers tonight is solved. Worley is due for a win and Buchholz is due for a loss. This one is ours... Now we get to watch the details of how it happens.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I've always believed that if you don't seek to reach beyond what you think is possible, then you will never do anything of value. I'll pick the Twins to win 3 out of 4 this series. Of course, if they don't, I'll deny I ever made this post.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Buchholz is not going to finish the season 25-0 True. The season is fickle and Lady Luck does not smile down on the talented every time. Worley is not going to finish the season 0-20 True. Pitchers get removed from the rotation long before that.

Now you need an admin for cover.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 You had the option of deleting in that situation, until I posted this reply. Now you need an admin for cover. Not at all. I'll just deny it and ignore the physical evidence to the contrary. Politicians do it all the time, and it seems to work as they keep getting reelected.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'd like the entire Twins team to take the field tonight with arms looking like vintage Lester Heyes. Arms gooped so thickly that they could catch fly balls with their forearms alone.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Shame they aren't at home, they could have run a suntan lotion promo. First 10,000 fans!
GCTF Verified Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Worley is not going to finish the season 0-20... He has to win sometime. Terry Felton would like a word with you.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Twins have their two best pitchers going, so I could see 2 wins......as for reaching for the stars to be more than you are, I'm not sure that works if you are a fan and not a participant in the event, but let's hope your post has the intended effect, assuming you made any such post.....
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 I really have nothing to say, I just want to take the Twins Daily post count lead from Seth.

Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 We are going to play Game 1 three times? We should be good at it by Friday. Now I'm going to leave it that way just to spite you.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I really have nothing to say And yet you say it so well, 3935 times and counting.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I really have nothing to say, I just want to take the Twins Daily post count lead from Seth. It's good to have goals in life.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'd just be happy to stay in front of Ashbury and Chief in Post Count... It's gonna be hard and a lot of work. Catching Seth and Brock... It just can't happen... I can't even dream.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Mauer should have a wall like that at home. He'd leave a lot of marks on it.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'd be happy if two out of every three batters hit the wall.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Buchholz ain't so tough when the world is looking for foreign substances.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'd be happy if two out of every three batters hit the wall. Can we do it every other half innings so that it's only Twins?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'd just be happy to stay in front of Ashbury and Chief in Post Count... It's gonna be hard and a lot of work. Chief will never catch up because he thinks before he posts. I on the other hand can give you a good run for the money.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Chief approves of this post. Generally, I'm all about quality, not quantity, but in the case of this board, I gotta go with what I can achieve.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I'd be happy if two out of every three batters hit the wall. So far this game has addressed my concerns about this team being mediocre on table-setting and downright poor on power.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Is Buchholz one of those pitchers who announcers say you'd better get to early, or else you won't at all?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Buchholz ain't fooling anyone. Good Twins swings so far tonight.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Table's set for Arcia-zie. Crossing fingers...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I have Arenado and Middlebrooks on my Fantasy team... Plouffe is available on waivers. I have room for two 3B. Advice?
