Yeah, the word for the past year was his glove was MLB-ready, it was the bat that was questionable. Turns out there's questions on both for now.

I certainly agree John. He's got the skill set to be an excellent CF, but he has misjudged far too many balls and struggled with the wind. He's got a fine arm and good range, but he hasn't gotten good jumps on a lot of balls. I'm confident he'll do well in the field, but it may not be this year.

I actually wasn't that disappointed in the Arcia AB. Didn't like the swing on 2-0 at a pitch in the dirt--but I agree with Brian that I have no problem with him looking for a pitch to hit on 2-0--and I was more disappointed at him swinging at ball 4 in his eyes. I simply meant that's how a lot of baseball games get decided. A key moment in the game, even though it's the top of the 1st. If Arcia wins that battle, the game might be all but over. If Buchholz wins the battle, the game is still very much in doubt, and there'll likely be another, similar AB somewhere in the game where a Boston hitter will have a similar chance.
