Meanwhile the Packers are losing to the Jets at home.

So, is this how the year is going to go? We complain about the poor play for 3/4ths of the game only for some random dumb luck to bail us out?

Not sustainable unfortunately

Worked for the Packers for the last 40 years…….

If Tua played today, this was probably a 10+ point loss. Watching buffalo and KC now…football is unpredictable but the bills should easily put up 30+ against us

After getting burned by the Twins’ hot start the first 1/3rd of the season, I’m hesitant to believe in this Vikings team. We haven’t seen them play a complete game. The flaws are evident every week.

We’ve been incredibly fortunate playing teams at the right time… New Orleans without their #1 QB, #1 RB, and #1 WR. Miami with a 7th round rookie QB who has no business touching the field this year and Teddy.

November is going to be the real test for this team. At Washington, at Buffalo, vs. Dallas, vs. NE. Once we go through that gauntlet we’ll know if this is a 9 win team or a 12 win team.

It was more a dig at GB, as it seems things like that almost always break their way.

The good news is that it appears the division should be ours for the foreseeable future. I think AR time is coming to an end in GB

Well, 5-1. The defense looks bad but is ok in scoring defense. H. Smith is really showing his age but maybe it's the scheme as well? Kendriks and Hicks don't look great together. But, maybe, the defense can get better with more experience in this 3-4.

At times, the offense has looked unstoppable and I think they are probably going to finish pretty good. Too many weapons. Taking KOC a bit to realize how good our run game could be (strange to type that). But this looks like a top 3 team in the NFC. And GB is losing, so. ?

This team caught a horseshoe for the entire season. The only 'scary' games left are at Buffalo and at Green Bay.

Surely they won't win the rest, it's just that there's no reason they shouldn't be able to win the rest.

Yeah, he's not looking like he wants to stick around after this year.

Or for the rest of this year for that matter.

The schedule and other team's injuries have helped for sure...... But other teams have lost games like this this year. Sports is always partly about timing and health, and so far, so good. I'm not impressed with the defense, so the o has to get better, imo.

Eh…IDK. I think the Dallas game could be tough as well. They’ve beaten us the last two years with a backup QB.

That being said this time we have a huge advantage at head coach.

It's at home. Dallas might end up favored, but I wouldn't call it a scary game. Not one that I'd go in with a preconceived notion that it's a sure loss. Like I will when they go to Buffalo.

Also, only marginally related, but I'm expecting Dallas to start tanking after last night's loss. They're so damn soft these days that they always seem to crap the bed after they fail to overcome adversity. They'll be celebrating the return of their starting QB, then they'll all act confounded when the team should be improved but end up losing. Anyway, that's the 21st Century Cowboys I've come to appreciate.

With the Lions up next week, completely falling apart is a tough task, but I think they're up to the challenge.

Schedule isn’t TOUGH but with the emergence of some teams like the jets, giants and patriots, it may not be as easy as it once appeared. Also, the 3 remaining divisional games are on the road. We always struggle in Chicago no matter how bad they are. 11 games left, I think you’d hope to come out 7-4. 12-5 should be good enough to get a bye unless someone gets hot.

Unfortunately I think the eagles will be the top seed with their weak schedule coming up so someone will have to go through Philly to beat them (yikes). But then again, who saw Pittsburgh beating Washington, the falcons beating SF and the jets romping the packers?

It would be nice if for once we could just go out and take care of business without making it a nail biter. I think they mentioned yesterday that we’ve played the most one score games over the last two years. I believe it. Yesterdays game shouldn’t have been close with the dolphins so banged up.

Only one team gets a bye these days, meaning Philly would have to go 11-6 since they will have the tiebreaker.

Yep, and the Eagles are definitely finishing better than 11-6.

Oh crud I totally forgot about that

Getting the 2 seed wouldn’t be so bad, the #7 seed they’ll play WC week will probably be awful since the NFC is so bad. Of course it’d be far more preferable to get a bye…

Byes are for wimps anyway.
