Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Using Duran in a tie game on the road in the 8th. I don’t know about that, man. Not the worst decision in the world, I just wish we didn’t have to
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Baldelli leaving Duffey for the 9th? I hope not. Use up Duran for the series? I hope not. What to do. We don't even have the lead. Hader waiting.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Good thing that was foul. Kirilloff butchered the fielding of it.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Batters sure seem to make a lot of contact against Duran lately.

Winston Smith Verified Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Miami might be open to trading Pablo Lopez for some hitting. Would you trade Miranda for him?

Heck no! We can talk about moving Steer and/or Wallner, but Miranda's an everyday hitter in this lineup and we need him if we're going to make any sort of playoff run. There is no need to rob Peter to pay Paul when we have prospects we could give up.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 I never understand the reason for granting a time out to the batter after the pitcher is set, no matter how long he takes then. Batter ready. Pitcher set. No reason at all for the batter to get a timeout. They just want to disrupt and avoid the intensity. Batters just being a wimp.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Narvaez 1 for last 25. And walked.
Montdak Verified Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 I fear a bloop. They have already benefited greatly from two of those. Outs wouldn’t fall
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Definitely feels like hitters are starting to figure out Duran... we'll have to see if he adjusts.

A lights out closer is more untouchable. Ball moves more. Contact grounder gets baserunners to second and third. No hit. Runners still advance... both in scoring position. Contact matters.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 0-2 and walked him. Damn. 26 pitches and counting. Bases loaded. Yuk.
