I was starting to think Hicks was turning the corner, but the swing on 3-1 was pretty awful. Extremely late on a 3-1 91 mph fastball is pretty brutal.

Is this really the nature of a bulldog? I find Bulldogs to be docile and affable. I think Rottweiler or Pitbull is better.

Sorry, I was away for a bit. When I answered, I actually thought it was his first game at leadoff - so many postponements, and the previous game had Carroll leading off. I didn't really mean to be dismissive.

 

But he did well in his other two games. You can find all kinds of situational splits on him here:

Thanks for that. I totally spaced off that you could look up the batting leadoff split. I feel like the pitches he's seeing has went up also.
