Trevor Larnach is crushing sliders

Adjusting to breaking pitches was going to be the number one thing for him to work on over the offseason.  Last year he came up crushed FB then he saw nothing but breaking pitches and he failed.  The fact that he is hitting sliders well, and he his hitting them to all fields is nice to see.  It was nice to see him slap a few base hits against the switch, which is best way to deal with a slider low and away.  I know it is easier to say it than do it.  I was not big on Larnach after last year, but he is making me look a little dumb right now, and I am okay with that.  I hope he can start getting a little HR power as year progresses, but he is showing he will make the needed adjustments.

Larnach’s doubles and his accurate throws to home plate are making me more comfortable with having him play rather frequently. Keep it up!

Yeah, Larnach has very quietly grabbed a starting job. His OPS went from .492 to .770 in 12 days. Hopefully the HR and the BB start coming, but those Justin Upton whispers have all but stopped. Which is good.

For me, I've always like Larnach's swing better than Kirilloff's. I honestly believe he'll turn out to be the better player of the two. Hopefully, Kirilloff gets his wrist back to full health, and BOTH of them get playing time.
