TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Escobar's competency is nothing short of baffling. In a good way.
ShaeTwins Provisional Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 So what happens if we win? We'd be 3-1, which is about 3 more wins than I'm sure anybody expected at this point. And what if we keep winning? What then? Do we still make all those moves at the deadline if we're above .500 at the break (somehow)?
TwinVike61 Provisional Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 http://sports.cbsimg.net/images/baseball/mlb/players/60x80/1670491.jpgAlfred E. Escobar. What, me worry?

Well, we'd probably move up to 25th in the power rankings next week.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Oh he has no trouble locating his fastball, they were all right there in the middle of the plate. He seems to be able to locate the sweet spot with remarkable consistency as well.

Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 So why isn't Burton pitching again?
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 That's probably the most negative thing you've ever typed. On TD perhaps. I just hate the premise that more is better and the fact that those kids seem spoiled rotten beyond redemption.

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 So why isn't Burton pitching again? Hasn't he gone the past two days?
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Burt was flabbergasted the Sherwalters weren't bunting after the leadoff single. A single that came on an 0-2 count, I might add.
Badsmerf Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 So why isn't Burton pitching again?Flag. Inappropriate question about an obvious in-game decision that apparently isn't obvious.

Looks like show-and-tell day in the gifted-and-talented classroom to me, with a gifted-and-talented-and-understated moderator who knows when to shut up and let the kids say some darned things.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Hasn't he gone the past two days? Has he? Can't recall with that first game being a get away game until game two.... really screwed me up.
Badsmerf Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 SPEED! *not really, just feel like saying it again
B Richard Provisional Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I wouldn't have let Fien stay in there
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Should've just brought Nathan in to start the inning.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Yeah, don't care if Burton went last two days, put him out there. Jzeeeeeezus
JeffReboulet Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Tyler Robertson! Fml. Where is Burton?
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 SPEED! *not really, just feel like saying it again Do we have our first TD word filter? Seems like everytime someone types "speed" it ends in all caps.
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 At least Robertson can get teh lefties out.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Yeah, don't care if Burton went last two days, put him out there. JzeeeeeezusGiven the Twins didn't even want to use Burton in back-to-back games last year, I doubt he was available today. I don't think you can blame Gardy for Fien's inability to execute a pitch with 2 strikes.
TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Yeah, that's the guy I have engrained in my memory. I don't think I'll ever not see Robertson as the "guy who always seems to give up a homerun"
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Crud. Is that an OK word, Mods? Double crud.
