fairweather Provisional Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Hendriks has a good enough curve and change that he shouldn't use the slider. The slider is a huge part of his problem with RHB. Today we've already seen RHB swing and miss against the curve. I see this as a good adjustment by Liam.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 Another hard-hit ball from Escobar.
JeffReboulet Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I am developing a mancrush on Escobar.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I am developing a mancrush on Escobar.Well, when you're Jeff Reboulet, I imagine it's pretty easy to crush on middle infielders with a bit of pop.
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Well, when you're Jeff Reboulet, I imagine it's pretty easy to crush on middle infielders with a bit of pop. Back when Jeff Reboulet played I purchased a fantasy baseball magazine that had write ups on every player. I'll never forget Jeff's write up...Reboulet is a French word meaning "bottom of the barrel".
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 Doumit doesn't usually get a shift like this, does he?
JeffReboulet Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Dick REALLY wants Doumit to bunt here, you can tell. Ugh, maybe he should have.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Doumit doesn't usually get a shift like this, does he? I maybe remember seeing it twice last year, maybe... so no.
chavez Provisional Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Are we really not going to score here?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Oof, there really is something to be said for a pitcher who can strike out a couple of guys in a row.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 Chris deserved that after the last two ABs.
$tryf4Life Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Nice. I am routing for parmelee to get going. I'll take it.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 5, 2013 Author Posted April 5, 2013 Dozier. Strong like bull.
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Maybe they'll play Dozier a tad deeper next time up.
chavez Provisional Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Maybe we should turn this over to the bullpen right now.
snepp Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Huger!! How all we need is an Escobar homer for the hugerest.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Good baserunning to Mornie to get to third? I'm just "watching" by the Yahoo play-by-play and he scampered over from first on a single to "shallow center". Of course Dozier makes it moot with his triple...
JeffReboulet Verified Member Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 HELL YES! Nice to see Parm/Dozier come through here, especially when Doumit and Plouffe could not.

I'm just "watching" by the Yahoo play-by-play and he scampered over from first on a single to "shallow center". Well, with two outs he was already around 2nd by the time the ball landed. It was also a broken bat looper that hung in the air just long enough to get over the shortstop.

I'm just "watching" by the Yahoo play-by-play and he scampered over from first on a single to "shallow center". Justin tries to motor through the area around second base. Bad memories. Also, Escobar!
