I hate the catcher on one knee thing. Both Jeffers and Garver are horrible blocking pitches in the dirt.  The odd pitch you get framed isn’t worth not being able to block a pitch or throw a runner out.

I was thinking the same thing. That run is on Jeffers, you have to get your body in front of that ball

I disagree, it proved that they can compete. The only team that didn’t really need those games was Chicago. Houston and Tampa have no guarantees of division titles yet.

I have a sincere suggestion. Twins should just forfeit tomorrows game to save the pitching staff...and just get out of town. They could also just not bother to complete this one too. They cannot win. They aren't competitive. Its almost not fair. Playing the Yankees is worse than a root canal. (or pick your worst nightmare)

White flag waving. Churchill said 'nevah give up, nevah.' He clearly never saw the Twins try and play baseball with the Yankees.

Well not great for sure, but I still believe you fix the pitching first. The Twins bullpen is the absolute worst in baseball and their starting pitching is lacking at least 3 starters. Any confidence the offense may have is usually taken away by horrible pitching.  I think the last 4 series have shown that  even getting average pitching will give even this team a chance to win. So fix the pitching issues first,  then try to find a third baseman who’s not always hurt, a first baseman that can recognize a breaking ball and shortstop that can hit. Healthy Buxton would fix the whole outfield. Next year? Maybe not but not totally out of the question either.
