Remember, when you were a kid playing a pick up game and you didn't have players to afford a catcher.  If batting, you would try and 'back catch' the pitch you didn't swing at?

He's getting walks and hits an occasional homer. His Ks are down since his recall. Not great, but not a total disappointment.

Any starter batting .190 should certainly be considered a disappointment in my opinion. I do think professional hitters should be able to hit .220 or higher, and if they can't replacements should be seriously considered.
