For years the Stage Deli and Carnegie Deli created sandwiches honoring famous clientele such as:

Marv Albert - Corned Beef and Swiss Cheese.
Mel Brooks - Pastrami, Turkey and Swiss Cheese.
Katie Couric - Turkey, Ham and Swiss Cheese.
Clint Eastwood - Turkey, Tongue and Corned Beef.
Gloria Estefan - Tuna, Bacon, American Cheese, Lettuce and Tomato.

If you were creating a Twins version of the Stage Deli, what player-named sandwich creations would you put on the menu? Sandwich with the most likes wins.

Derek Law Sliders: Sloppy joe with extra sauce because things get pretty messy when he’s pitching. One Yelp reviewer called it “Utterly disappointing. I’d rather eat at Burger King.”

Colomé: Loaded up with bologna on homemade sourdough bread. Some would say it looks good on the surface, but when you dig into the advanced stats of the sandwich, it’s a bunch of bologna.

The Astudillo: a stuffed arepa with everything in it ... a little shredded beef, chicken and pork, black beans, plantains, Caribbean cheese, guasacaca, tomatoes, rice ... yeah, I think that covers every position :)

(Edit: if you've never had one ... go, find one now ... they are really, really good! Of course, I'd probably never order one with all of that in it, but ... there you go ... it's the perfect combo for Astudillo)

If Bremer says center-cut one more time.............................I'm gonna lock him in a butcher shop and blow it up.

I love this thread concept and I wish I could come up with something clever. For now I will go with a Grilled Lamb and Jelly Meatball Club.

It's the most L's I could fit in a sandwich name.

The Baldelli Bagel - chopped liver and under-cured corned beef on a bed of Garlick, tucked into a moldy bagel that's seen it's better days. Sure to get you a couple days off.

The Barely Ober - one paper-thin slice of ham between two slender slices of French bread. Tasty, but needs more seasoning. Leaves the customer looking for more.

Yeah, without any mustard on that thing, no one is going to choke up on it.

Dang! We should call the Twins sandwich shop the Ball-deli!!

I would also offer an alternate Rocco Baldelli sandwich made with slow-cooked goose topped with a sweet & sour cranberry sauce.

Baldelli Surprise

A bowl of lukewarm Clam Chowder in a sippy cup with a cup of Budweiser and a ball of fried swiss cheese on the side.

The perfect combination for a hot summer afternoon of Twins baseball in 2021!

Five dollars won’t even buy you a Dome Dog anymore (to get the thread back on track)

Interesting fact - when the Metrodome Teflon roof was installed in 1982, 100s of pigeons were trapped inside. The Metropolitan Sports Commission was then forced to bring in an appropriate service to carry out a "final solution" on all the pigeons. Coincidentally, the next week, the Dome Dog debuted.

That’s it, the Bremer, a deeply fried pork chop sliced and served on genetically modified wheat bread

Served with an easy “can of corn” fly ball on the side that can still induce one to a state of arousal.

The Thorpedo - a kangaroo hot dog smothered in honey mustard, pickle relish and chopped red onions. Looks good but sure to sink your expectations. A couple of bites and you'll want to slip it Down Under.
