You don't often see a MLB umpire miss a call that badly.

 

Between the call at 2B in the first, that one, the strike zone, and some check swings, all four umps got into the action. This was one of the most consistently bad umping nights I’ve seen in a long time.

Why am I not surprised that an umpiring crew led by Laz Diaz is having a bad night?

 

Either because Diaz learned his trade at the Frank Drebin Umpiring Academy, or because 2020 blows so much that at this point we're all just hoping the meteor gets here before the election instead of after.

Whew!! Nice to see a game like that. Kinda has to take the monkey off their backs a little. I know there are always going to a losses here and there, however when you lose 6 games in a row you start to wonder when they'll snap out of it and stuff. Looked good today.
