somebody smarter than me explain why Gibson is pitching. I'm serious

rehab? He would be their third best option to start in a playoff series. A postseason atmosphere is a completely different beast and I can’t blame them if they want to get Gibby ready for that.

It was also a great pitch. He attacked to get up 0-2, tried to get him to chase as he should with pitches down and then changed his eye level by throwing one up and away.

Cleveland is not surrendering, so we've got to win our magic number of games. Now is not the time for the Great Nibbler Experiment.

 

I'm in Gibby's corner as far as the fortitude he's shown in the face of serious health issues, but I can support him just fine if he's not on the mound, giving up baserunners galore to a Mendoza-hitting team.

 

Yep, struck out the side last time, but what did he give up in between? Got out of the 8th, but with a runner in scoring position, and once again facing the tying run in the batter's box.
