Blake Verified Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Today, the magic number stands at 3. Not 4, not 2, and 5 is right out. The number is three and three shall be the number. *I put in the whole thing because I can relate to the "soiled armor" bit what with some of the things that happened during the season. Now, the Twins head into Detroit and the Twins faithful are looking at this series, knowing things are counting down to the post-season. But, we are not counting our playoffs before they hatch, are we? The Twins head into Detroit and, if the past is anything to go by, they will exact their revenge on Detroit. (Well, okay, the Twins have been exacting revenge on Detroit all year....) And, with that, we go to stuff to think about. (Yeah, as if I really put a lot of thought into some of this stuff. Oh crud, I typed that out loud, didn't I?) 1. Detroit: Rebuilding or looking to rebuild the rebuild?2. Twins: Can they beat the Yankees in home runs this year?3. Bomba squad: Can they keep on bombaing?4. Ginger or MaryAnne?* *Just had to mess with ya'll a bit! Lineups: 5. Play ball!

No actual rabbits were hurt in the creation of this post. Pro-tip: timely cleaning of soiled armor will help prevent rust. This has been a tip from the armor manufacturers guild. sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 I am confused about selling our eggs before they hatch... Please don't trade Lewis before he hatches. And i wonder how final count down would sound with propper brass instruments.

VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 I’m struggling with what I should be more anxious about — the Twins falling behind by 2-3 runs and hoping they can come back or having a 5-6 run lead and fearing they’re going to blow it.

Just enjoy the ride, no reason to get anxious before we even get started!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 I am under the opinion that we should try and win this game! Who's with me?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Gonzalez scratched with "oblique tightness". Turtle at first base. This worries me.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Let's go Twins! And although it pains me to say it... let's go White Sox
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Sweep them, and doesn't matter what Cleveland does. Have to love that...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Let's go Twins! And although it pains me to say it... let's go White Sox I'm with ya... Cheering for the White Sox is like drinking Tabasco Sauce because it cures anxiety.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Let's go Twins! And although it pains me to say it... let's go White Sox woof... guess I'm a White Sox fan for the next 3 nights too...

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Here’s to a Twins win and a White Sox 3 game winning streak
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 No reason the offense doesn't score 7-8 runs tonight. Turnbull is not a good pitcher.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Over/Under 3.5 bombas

John Kelsey Verified Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 No reason the offense doesn't score 7-8 runs tonight. Turnbull is not a good pitcher. He's not terrible, probably better than every starter they faced in the KC series (which isn't saying much).

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 No reason the offense doesn't score 7-8 runs tonight. Turnbull is not a good pitcher. Other than the baseball gods love to flip the script.

No not terrible by any stretch and I'd bet he'd have better stats on the Twins or any other contender, but still 3-15, 4.66 ERA, 1.4 WHIP doesn't scream average to me.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Should have been a triple. Cave didn’t play that well
