Maybe Rocco’s most boneheaded and inexplicable managerial move of the year. I know Cron had not looked good today, but I would rather seen him hit there than Ryan Lamar. 24 homeruns and 76 RBIs on the year inspires a little more confidence than the guy has played in AAA and hasn’t swung at major-league pitcher all year. That’s not even mentioning Sano sitting on the bench!

It's clear that Cruz is the leader of this team and without him in the lineup or healthy, the Twins are like sheep...they don't function without their shepherd. Look at when he was out earlier in the Summer. I think we will be healthy for the Playoffs, but we need to win the division first. I actually miss Cave....please help me!haha

I'm speechless. I'm in utter shock. The Twins willingly gave this game away. They had the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the 9th and Rocco let LaMarre hit when Cron and Sano are on the bench and available. Un F**king Believable.

God, you just knew picking up LaMarre was going to screw this team over and it happens IMMEDIATELY.

Disappointing, but not unsurprising, loss.

This team is a mess offensively. Take away Garver's ABs in this Cleveland series and the Twins would have been swept. Last couple games in Boston were terrible offensively as well.

 

The Twins could have easily lost 6 straight. Somehow they won 3 of those games. I guess that's the bright side, but this team looks absolutely as bad as they've looked all season right now.

 

Washington is battling for their lives, then the Twins get Cleveland again.

I don't mean to be an apologist for Rocco's lineup but I think I know what his intentions are. The Twins are going to win the division this year (yes, there is a 00.1%) they could choke but it's a statistical anomaly. Rest these guys and let's play for the ALDS. The Indians NEEDED to win today. The Twins not so much...
