I was thinking how much fun - IN A WAY - it was when the Twins were BAD. Then snarkiness and sarcasm ruled. Now we EXPECT them to win, and of course we QUADRUPLE EXPECT them to beat the Tiggers. I say Bring back the old days of "Total System Failure"!

I really don't get this first base idea. It isn't working at all. Of course, Cron stinking isn't helping.

It's sad to watch the guys struggle so much at home lately. Twins fans have had to endure some rough times the past 9 years and it would be nice to give them solid base ball during a hopeful season at Target Field.

 

We seemingly caught lightening in a bottle the first 2 months. Lately, it seems that the lightening has escaped and we're left looking at an empty bottle, wondering what happened.

It's sad to watch the guys struggle so much at home lately. Twins fans have had to endure some rough times the past 9 years and it would be nice to give them solid base ball during a hopeful season at Target Field. 

I just know this team is going to go on the road and play much better against the White Sox and Tigers next week... just because! With the way this season has gone, I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose this series but then rip off 6 of the next 7 out of nowhere, if only because we're better on the road.

Don't know how Harper wasn't part of the July purge.  I'd rather have Magill.

Of all those pitchers Harper has the worst stuff. Talent also matters in this game.

Of all those pitchers Harper has the least stuff. Talent also matters in this game.

That's very true, but Harper had some small sample success. I'm a little disappointed overall in Falvine in that respect.

Same thing with trading Pressly, on a larger scale. Had the most talent of any Twin reliever. Simply can't trade a guy like that.

There is something seriously wrong when a team loses 3 out of 4 to two of the worst teams in the division.

 

We're heading into epic collapse territory right now.

 

Very disappointing.

 

I understand "can't win them" all but the Twins losing to the likes of Chicago and Detroit?

Cave went from being the Twins Daily scapegoat a week ago to the only guy who showed up today... so I guess that's a positive.

The Twins hung 6 runs on Detroit, which should be enough to beat the likes of Detroit. 

 

So no, Detroit doesn't have great pitching. Or even average pitching.

This clearly doesn't happen all the time, but it happens more often than I think it should.

Hopefully, a game like this will start to convince the team that Berrios is not an ace. Because he is not an ace. Plain and simple. Sorry guys, but he's not and never has been. He's shown ability in the last few years but where does this 'ace' stuff even come from to begin with? Hopefully, the front office goes out in the offseason and gets an ace. That's what I would like to see.
