Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Not used to these missed opportunities
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Yeah, Let’s see where we are come September. Or July at this pointI expect they’ll be better, you expect them to be worse, I like my way
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 I expect they’ll be better, you expect them to be worse, I like my wayThat’s fine, I’ve just seen enough sports in my day to recognize players usually don’t perform way above their career averages for an entire season.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Twins are 5-3 on this road trip yet there season might as well be over
denarded Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 81 pitches to get through this sad, sad Tigers lineup...and give up 4 runs. Pathetic
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Twins are 5-3 on this road trip yet there season might as well be overYou’re talking about a fan base who has seen their team win ONE playoff series in almost 3 decades and you wonder why there is sometimes doubt.

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 You’re talking about a fan base who has seen their team win ONE playoff series in almost 3 decades and you wonder why there is sometimes doubt.Im not wondering anything, I’m enjoying watching the Twins play baseball, speculations about post season in early June are meaningless and usually wrong
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Im not wondering anything, I’m enjoying watching the Twins play baseball, speculations about post season in early June are meaningless and usually wrongI speculated earlier about their chances in the postseason, but my argument with you was that I don’t think the staff as a whole would be considered above average, regardless of where they are in the stats right now. Too many guys pitching wayyyy above their career numbers. Do you think, stats aside, this is the 4th best staff in the AL?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Postseason pitching plan: odorizzi, berrios and pray for 3 days of rain
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 OK boys, it's getting to be time to mount the comeback du jour.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 I find it hard to believe they went all the way with home field advantage. No Jack Clark and a severely limited Terry Pendleton helped greatly.

I am far from the negative BS I hear from you though, I don’t have time for that
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Looks like we’ll get a chance to see what Eades can do.
HawksNest Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Twins are extremely flat today. Lineup has struck out 9 times through 6 innings. Gibson gave up 5 runs in 5 innings to the worst offense in the MLB (yes, Detroit has scored fewer runs than even the Marlins ). Whatever, it happens. Hope the bats can get going here in the 7th, 8th, and 9th.

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Interesting sidelight about uniform numbers and Eades being the first MLB player ever to wear 80. I actually had coincidentally come across this earlier today.https://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/08/phillies-pat-neshek-number-93-adam-cimber-90 So according to this 86, 89, and 92 are now the only remaining virgin numbers. And I was not surprised that Pat Neshek would be someone to choose a never-before-worn number.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Eades has the farmer's tan going on!!!

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 so that was eadesie. It was good to Eades him in to a non stressful situation
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 Let's get something started boys!!!!!
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 It was good to Eades him in to a non stressful situationA player's first MLB appearance will almost always be stressful. It's just a matter of managing it as well as possible. Good job by Eades today.

Eduardo Tait Cedar Rapids Kernels - A+ C On Thursday, the 19-year-old went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Cedar Rapids. That gives him nine homers this season. Explore Eduardo Tait News >
