That’s fine, I’ve just seen enough sports in my day to recognize players usually don’t perform way above their career averages for an entire season.

Twins are 5-3 on this road trip yet there season might as well be over

You’re talking about a fan base who has seen their team win ONE playoff series in almost 3 decades and you wonder why there is sometimes doubt.

Im not wondering anything, I’m enjoying watching the Twins play baseball, speculations about post season in early June are meaningless and usually wrong

I speculated earlier about their chances in the postseason, but my argument with you was that I don’t think the staff as a whole would be considered above average, regardless of where they are in the stats right now. Too many guys pitching wayyyy above their career numbers. Do you think, stats aside, this is the 4th best staff in the AL?

probably not , they need bullpen help for sure, they’re buyers this year for sure though, they’ll get some help. I am far from the negative BS I hear from you though, I don’t have time for that

Twins are extremely flat today.

 

Lineup has struck out 9 times through 6 innings.

 

Gibson gave up 5 runs in 5 innings to the worst offense in the MLB (yes, Detroit has scored fewer runs than even the Marlins ).

 

Whatever, it happens.

 

Hope the bats can get going here in the 7th, 8th, and 9th.

Interesting sidelight about uniform numbers and Eades being the first MLB player ever to wear 80. I actually had coincidentally come across this earlier today.

A player's first MLB appearance will almost always be stressful. It's just a matter of managing it as well as possible. Good job by Eades today.
