Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 2 hittable pitches on back to back 0-2 counts
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 "Quiet, you two... you're scarin' the fish away!" Are you saying the Twins are still winning?I thought they were down by 14 runs based on Gibson's performance.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Dude Harper has been great but those 3 0-2 pitches were brutal
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Angels are definitely better than their record suggests
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 Time to see if Duffy has found light around the 17th corner.

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 If the homestand has shown me anything its that a couple of shutdown relief pitchers are something the Twins desperately need before the trade deadline
snotboogie Verified Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 That’ll be good for Duffey’s confidence
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 The story of his career.Spot on, always been a nibbler and could cough up any lead at any time. And they got him as their #2, what a joke. Bring up Stewart

Bring up StewartGood god. It’s almost as if I stepped into a time machine and back to 2015. Gibson, over his prior three starts, threw 18 innings and struck out 22 hitters. He gave up four runs.
70charger Verified Member Posted May 15, 2019 Posted May 15, 2019 That's a big out. Gotta hang onto that lead because these Angels don't look like they're going away.

It's probably going to take Gibson a while longer to win some folks over, as mediocre as he was for so long. He was considerably better the third time through the order than he was the second time last year, so hopefully this was just a one-off. And now that we've signed Kimbrel to anchor the bullpen, maybe Rocco will be a little more aggressive with middle relief for Gibson next time he's looking ragged in the 6th. Wait, we still haven't signed Kimbrel?

Gibson has been good for something like 300-350 innings now. I’m not sure how much time people need. And the dude is recovering from e.Coli and lost 20 lbs, probably all of which was muscle. He deserves a little slack, especially when it comes to tiring in later innings. The guy has every friggin’ reason to wear down during a game.
