Game Thread Astros @ Twins 5/1/19 7:10 PM CDT

Why is the announcer pronouncing Perez as PAIR-ez instead of PUR-ez

[VATwinsFan]

Nice pick, nice DP!

Indeed.

[Aggies7]

1 run and 6 hits this series. Where’s that o’s staff when you need them

[Aggies7]

Why is drew Carey announcing this game and what in the world is a Boog Sciambi?

Ancient ancestor of Boog Powell?

[VATwinsFan]

Pretty weak looking crowd.

[Mill1634]

Good inning for Perez

[Aggies7]

Whoa if kluber is really hurt

[FlauerPauer]

Those kind of things seem to happen to the Twins more often than it happening for the opposing team... rats.

[Aggies7]

Man this offense. Avert your eyes

[twinsbaby]

No offense this series against any Astros pitcher.

[FlauerPauer]

I think the thing that pisses me off the most about Gonsalez is how animated he is when he swings and misses like a fool.

[twinsbaby]

6 up, and 6 down. All terrible ABs.

[h2oface]

The boys just look like the don't have confidence against the good teams. The are just mentally not in the game in the same way.

[Aggies7]

Twins have now been retired in order in 9 of 20 innings this series

[twinsbaby]

Look like Twins hitters already give up this series, they don't fight any pitches. Sucks.

When I watch Colin McHugh pitch, it reminds me what I thought Tyler Duffey would be. Even now, if you asked Duffey if he could do what McHugh is doing - low curves, some sweeping across the plate, then a 90mph fastball flipped into corners, Duffey would probably say, "Yeah, I could do that."

But he won't. Duffey has to prove that his curve bends farther than anybody else's, and he over-throws his fastball to reach 92. McHugh is a good example of a guy that works comfortably within himself, where Tyler Duffey acts like he has to impress the world with every pitch. Damn shame.

[Mill1634]

SCHOOP SLAMMED!

[Aggies7]

Hey alright! Wow

[Nine of twelve]

Ka-BOOOOOOOM!

[VATwinsFan]

SCHOOP-O-RAMA!!!!

[Aggies7]

Never thought I’d see the day, early May or not, where the twins would lead all of MLB in slugging

[VATwinsFan]

That ball looked like it was still gaining altitude when it reached the outfield fence.

Does anyone ever think Astudillo is getting sent down? Players love him. Fans love him. I predict if he gets sent down, Twins go on a losing streak.

_{The question now is which pitch Buck will go on. Breaking ball pitcher, good situation to go.}

That answers that question.

[jimbo92107]

Man, I was sure McHugh was going to K Buxton with that sweeping curve. Lucky it's too cold for McHugh to command that pitch.

[Danchat]

That answers that question.

He probably stole the base right as you finished typing that!

[Aggies7]

What a play by the ball boy

[Nine of twelve]

Nice pick by the ball boy (Girl?- couldn't tell.)
