Game Thread Astros @ Twins 4/30/19 6:40 PM CDT

[LaBombo]

Astros showing us why MN spring weather gives us a big home field advantage against teams from down south.

[h2oface]

"Hard to hold a good lineup down for consecutive days...", yet, the Astros seem to be doing it no problem.

[MMMordabito]

Magill can go four and then head to the IL .... Next

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Magill is back.

Magill is back! Waaaaaaaaaay back!!!

[h2oface]

Magill offers little relief.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Perhaps this is when “bunt into the shift!” becomes deadly serious strategy.

... or, not quite that, but at least something to break the no-hitter

This game puts Jake Odorizzi's accomplishment last night into even sharper focus.

I'm gonna watch the top a little while longer before I make up my mind about last night.

[Aggies7]

Lol are we really going to get no hit tonight?

[twinsbaby]

OK, I hope I can watch Cole throws a no-hit game right now.

[MMMordabito]

Teh Prenatal Yogaz are payin' off!

At least kegels in the dugout should keep him warm

[bighat]

Twins gonna get no hit?

[h2oface]

Kepler was right. Inside. Not a strike.

[Aggies7]

Lol are we really going to get no hit tonight?

No, the answer is no. Loss still in play though

[LaBombo]

Well, at least the breakup of the no-hitter was a real hit instead of a double-clutched grounder.

[twinsbaby]

Oh, no. Kepler doubles.

[operation mindcrime]

I just turned this game on! Was Pineda horrible tonight?

[Aggies7]

How funny is baseball that cole could have been knocked out in the first until that GIDP

[h2oface]

So close to being out. Hit the sandstone thing.

[LaBombo]

Polanco just a hair behind that shoulder-high 98 mph heater...

[h2oface]

When Cole is on.... he is a Cy Young guy. In his prime and dealing. I wonder if Houston fans were calling him a nibbler in his first games this year as he dialed in his control......

[stringer bell]

Kep to the rescue!

ok smart guy, made up your mind yet?

[LaBombo]

9 hits, 5 ER in 5 IP and everything hit hard, even the outs... I'd give him 4 out of a possible 5 claws...

[LaBombo]

Kep to the rescue!

Amen. Without him a day like today would have me convinced that we'll never be on the warm half of the planet ever again.

[gocgo]

From the highs of winning a tight 1-0 game against a tough team to the lows of having that same team open up a can o whoopass. Baseball is can be a cruel game.

[wavedog]

Baseball in the Hoodies.

[Shaitan]

I'm starting to think Mejia will clear waivers. Though I'd still drop Magill first.

[wavedog]

Doesn’t look like Mejia likes the cold either. Either can’t throw a strike or he throws up a meatball. For the sake of your fellow bullpen guys cmon and let’s get some outs.

[LaBombo]

Or hitters. Also not big on them.

[wavedog]

That was definitely a strike Bergman - back to the dugout with your shin guards
