yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 That umpire needs to be ejected.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 How the hell does Molitor NOT get tossed here? What a ****ing pushover. I would have gone Wally Backman on this punk ass.
Danchat Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Wow. Time for the 4th pitcher of the inning and there's only one out!! I can't stop laughing at this ineptitude. How long has this inning lasted?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 As Crash Davis would say, “That’s a co@$sucking call”.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 I liked the game earlier in the year that was just chaos with people getting tossed. I'm pretty sure it was when Escobar had a couple meltdowns.
S. Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Seriously, I cannot even believe Molitor doesn't get tossed there. How can he even pretend like he gives a damn about this team if he doesn't get worked up over that? I don't care that we're losing and that this game is irrelevant, there is 0 excuse for that **** from the umpire and 0 excuse for Molitor not blowing up on him.
Fargoguy Provisional Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 It's hard to believe this team is only 9 games below .500, but they have had one of the easiest schedules in all of baseball, so I guess that's what explains it.The American League has several brutal teams and a team has to win each game. I think it's a rule.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 If I'm Busenitz I plunk someone with the first pitch and then give Porter a one finger salute.
S. Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 If I'm Busenitz I plunk someone with the first pitch and then give Porter a one finger salute. He could cut the middleman and plunk Porter in the head.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Dick's dejection is ironically lifting my spirits.
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Just following along, and behind on TiVo. I don't have any particular belief or knowledge that the "opener" idea is good or bad. Just not enough history of it so far. But I do have a belief that someone, anyone other than Giminez should be playing first base. Austin? Sano? Maybe even Garver. Giminez playing is just one more reason why Molitor needs to go. There is simply no reason for his spot on the roster, much less actually being on the field. Molitor didn't put him on the roster, but he did put him on the field.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Hey, that’s two outs. Only took 1/2 hour.
S. Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Sometimes, you have to laugh to keep from crying. As a Minnesota sports fan, I've found drugs to be a much better option than laughter
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Author Posted September 2, 2018 Busenitz finally got in the game. Does that mean Molitor has used all his callups? Getting back in this game is now... a 12 step program?
Jham Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 So... The gamethread has been way more entertaining to follow than the game itself. In the "September" thread, I said I wanted to see the team try a bull pen game in order to evaluate more guys and make cuts. I think Mejia and Moya are redundant. Slegers, Stewart, Littel and Duffey are way different pitchers who get the same crappy results. Romero is a reliever probably?
Platoon Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 I don't think it's a mistake Belisle hit Beltre. Nor do I frankly mind it. But keep it below the belt. Always! Two other thoughts. Molitor simply seems to be sleep walking through the last half of the season. And if was one of the other three umpires I would ask the home plate guy: WTF, do you know how hot it is out here? Don't toss someone when it's this warm!
ChrisKnutson Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 I’m starting to get the feeling that no free agent we sign this offseason is gonna fix this team. Although firing Molitor would be a step in the right direction.
Jham Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 I also wanted the Twins to utilize their waiver order to get a head start on this off-season. we traded for Chris Giminez... Even if he's the manager next season, not what I had in mind.
S. Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Molitor simply seems to be sleep walking through the last half of the season. Molitor not getting ejected is basically explicit confirmation that he does not give a damn about his team. If he won't even get ejected defending his boy, Matty B, then I doubt he would've even left the dugout if it was one of the rookies.

Danchat Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Wait, why was Reed ejected?
Danchat Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 And there's Cave with another garbage time HR. Boy, those prospects from the Yankee farm sure are good.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 There needs to be an identifiable process in order for us to trust it. I’ve seen slow pitch softball teams with more cohesive plans than than whatever this disaster is.We are looking to build sustainable competitiveness. Our goal is to be in the hunt year in and year out. We're going to develop within and we won't take shortcuts. Row the boat. This is year zero. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.. You can basically interchange the buzzwords and phrases but it's the same **** with every team. The Vikings fail every season, but at least they make a concerted effort to try and win every year.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 A terrible lineup, dumb errors, veterans getting ejected,... it's clear to me that this is the clubhouse speaking with one voice, consciously or not, on the Buxton decision. The FO has completely lost the clubhouse. So, where do we go from here? To the fair?
Fargoguy Provisional Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 11 more to go. Let's tie this thing up so we need to find a way to get at least 6 more outs!
