I think the lineup could be highly improved if Molly swapped Morrison and Garver in the lineup. Or maybe Cave. I can't understand why the two rookies have to bat at the bottom of the order when they're the best bats outside Rosario and Polanco.

I am incredibly impressed with Mejia so far - 4 one hit innings. I'd pencil him into the 2019 rotation... he looks ready to solidify his role as a major leaguer.

I see the boxscore indicates both pitchers have hit a batter. Anyone watching see how it played out?

 

Edit: Looks like Mejia hit Brantley and then Carrasco threw at Forsythe’s head as the first batter of the next inning.

 

Ultimate revenge: Garver driving him in with the 3 run bomb.

He hasn't given up a run in his last 14.1 innings pitched. He's doing pretty darn well.

Would not have guessed that he was capable of that. Especially with the loss in velocity from last season. Good for him.

Yeah, he's bumped up his average by about 20 points, but it's basically all been singles. I guess we'll take it...

Mejia's hurt. They took him out of the game. He was wincing as he was pitching the 5th inning... major bummer he couldn't go any further, but you can't push him when he's hurting like that.

Who do you think they call up if he can’t pitch his next time around - Romero or Gonsalves?

Hopefully Romero, he's been dealing. The problem for me is that Romero has legitimate stuff to be a #2 starter while Gonsalves is limited (tops out at 91, I've heard)... but he does deserve a shot.

 

As long as we don’t see Belisle this game I’ll be satisfied

He's on the DL, so we won't see him soon.

Hope Mejia is not too badly hurt..  dang.. that was a nice game.

The Cleveland announcers said that he has a sprained wrist.
