mrmpls Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 alot of hard hit balls for the twins ,
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 I think the lineup could be highly improved if Molly swapped Morrison and Garver in the lineup. Or maybe Cave. I can't understand why the two rookies have to bat at the bottom of the order when they're the best bats outside Rosario and Polanco.MOY knows best. Don’t question it.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 I am incredibly impressed with Mejia so far - 4 one hit innings. I'd pencil him into the 2019 rotation... he looks ready to solidify his role as a major leaguer.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 How’s Mejia looking? He hasn't given up a run in his last 14.1 innings pitched. He's doing pretty darn well.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 I see the boxscore indicates both pitchers have hit a batter. Anyone watching see how it played out? Edit: Looks like Mejia hit Brantley and then Carrasco threw at Forsythe’s head as the first batter of the next inning. Ultimate revenge: Garver driving him in with the 3 run bomb.

Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Wow. Soon as he starts doing well gets hurt... Twins 2018 in a nutshell...
mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 and forsythe benefiting from the scenery change? lol
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Wow. Soon as he starts doing well gets hurt... Twins 2018 in a nutshell...Who is hurt? Just got off the phone with the oldest son, talking about apartments....
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 and forsythe benefiting from the scenery change? lolYeah, he's bumped up his average by about 20 points, but it's basically all been singles. I guess we'll take it...
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Big test for Mejia. He doesn’t get to face hitters a third time very often. It might be wise to have someone warming. Just in case.
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Who is hurt? Just got off the phone with the oldest son, talking about apartments....Mejia.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Dang, mejia looked good and he’s out.
Tibs Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Anyone know who the long-haired guy with glasses in the dugout is? I see him during games all the time
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Who is hurt? Just got off the phone with the oldest son, talking about apartments....Mejia's hurt. They took him out of the game. He was wincing as he was pitching the 5th inning... major bummer he couldn't go any further, but you can't push him when he's hurting like that.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Crap. I'm a fan. How he's ok.
SF Twins Fan Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Who do you think they call up if he can’t pitch his next time around - Romero or Gonsalves?
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 As long as we don’t see Belisle this game I’ll be satisfied
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Who do you think they call up if he can’t pitch his next time around - Romero or Gonsalves?Hopefully Romero, he's been dealing. The problem for me is that Romero has legitimate stuff to be a #2 starter while Gonsalves is limited (tops out at 91, I've heard)... but he does deserve a shot. As long as we don’t see Belisle this game I’ll be satisfiedHe's on the DL, so we won't see him soon.

OTPS300 Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 I don't have much faith in a pitcher that shakes off so many pitches.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Holy cow! Rosario's 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles!
mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Hope Mejia is not too badly hurt.. dang.. that was a nice game.

Wyorev Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 What happened to Hildenberger? Is overuse one word to two?Over use. Frustrating. Don’t they have a whole bunch of relievers?
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 8, 2018 Posted August 8, 2018 Call me silly, but I’d prefer if we had least one more run here.
