sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Agree on the first point. However, on the Garver "heads up play", I believe Morrison should be the one given credit. He yelled for the ball, or at least that is what it appeared like on TV Yeah, pronouns can be tricky, but i got that right and gave credit to Morrison. Can i call for a moderator review of that?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Anyway, back to shoes... My dad passed on a couple years ago, and a month or two ago, i finally got up the courage to fill his Limmers. He's a size larger than me, which never bothered me for sneakers, but takes more getting used to in fancy shoes...
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Okay, while they were reviewing that play, I found a picture of a Licorice Lickosphere, several of them, actually, and uploaded them. Needless to say, I am not fast at that. Kind of like the review. I also have been baking those free pizzas I got. And cookies. STILL haven't had time to count my shoes. I think this is why I don't participate in game threads. Its a lot of work. What did I miss?
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 I turned the sound off. Don't want to hear what happens next. I'll check back after I finally get my shoes counted. Immoderatorally, I have to say that Dozier is not just costing the Twins games, he's costing them a draft pick. And himself lots of dollars. Bummer all the way around.
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Off the top of my head, I can think of 3 Twins players that might be of interest to these Indians come July. Brian Dozier, Zach Duke, Fernando Rodney

Strange.La Velle posted too many vulgarities. Our excellent TD filters blocked them helping your mind to remain pure.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 If you were to pick a starting 9 from the combined teams, how many Twins get in? Off the top of my head, I’d say Rosario, Dozier and Kepler. Maybe Sano. Not sure if anyone else would crack this Indians lineup.

If Cleveland isn't actively looking to upgrade every position outside of SS, 3B and LF they're probably doing the team a disservice.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2018 Author Posted June 1, 2018 Waaa ... another battle back lost. Sigh. G’night.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Welp. Another comeback that falls short. Reverse of just a few days ago. We need JO on his A+++ game tomorrow.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Oh well. Some day we might actually win a one run game or two... If that starts happening, the world is our clam!

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2018 Author Posted June 1, 2018 Great choice for the finale, and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the owner of the asymmetric footwear in the background.Lol ... that was my mom from about 5 years ago. The photo I posted were her shoes. When I was young, I used to love putting those shoes on. I thought those were real gemstones and they were shoes of royalty. Sadly, I cannot wear them as they are an 8AAAA. I wear an 8B. But I love them and will eventually put them on display somewhere.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Okay, this cold be embarrassing on a couple of levels. I'm not listening or refreshing these comments until enough time has passed for it to be over, one way or another. The shoes: A pair of those toeless flip flops that college athletes like to wear to the chow hall, or cafeteria, or whatever you call it these days. Not sure why I have them. A pair of mt. bike shoes. Forgot I had the shoes; forgot I had the bike. Maybe I should get in shape and ride it again. 4 pairs of "casual" khaki pants type shoes that I wear for teaching. 1 pair of these casual type barefoot shoes that I found at a beach. They're really cool, but a half a size to small. Every so often I try them on to see if my feet have shrunk. 2 pairs of Chaco river sandals. Used to be footwear for work. 1 pair of Simple shoes, pretty much nothing to them except some hemp or whatever. I guess I had a hipster phase when I lived in Seattle. 2 pairs of trail shoes that I don't wear. out in the shed a pair of hiking boots, a pair of Sorels, and some ski boots. And then there are the two pairs of shoes that I actually wear--Astral Brewers. Okay, ready to refresh.

Sano makes the team as a first baseman. Not sure anyone displaces Encarnacion at DH. Ultimately, I think they are just a more talented team.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Ski boots count? Huh, rememinds me I have boots someplace..... So one or two more, depending on the ski boot ruling

Twins are better at 4 of 9? Which makes Cle better at 5 of 9. Not exactly a landslide win for the Indians. (I sure do like Lindor and Jose ["Handley"] Ramirez, though... clearly a cut above all the rest).
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Dump Alston the pitching coaxh, he is bringing nothing to the table. Nothing except a lot more strikeouts and a league average ERA for the first time in 9 years.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2018 Posted June 1, 2018 Escobar can play 2nd So can Dozier? (allegedly)
