jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Michael Tonkin dominated for two innings. Has he turned a corner? Did you see that, Yankees??
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 They should be running all over Romine.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Very nice stuff from Curtiss. Like his arm. Short little delivery reminds me how Gibson is throwing it these days. Almost looks like he could do some starting. I'll have to assume he doesn't have a third pitch.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Dick is just salty tonight.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 he won't make the wc roster will he?Not if my sarcasm has its intended effect. Tonkin needs to get a fresh start somewhere else.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 he won't make the wc roster will he?I think Molitor makes the roster. Although perhaps Favley may have a say? Every time i see the abbreviation WC, my bad spelling kicks in, and i think C stands for Ceries. And ya know, i am okay with that.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Escobar could do what Romine is doing. Esco can actually pitch a little, and he's an emergency catcher.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Dick is just salty tonight.did you get video of when you licked him? How did he react?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Kepler is ending the season on a bit of a slump. He'll get better next season.
Dantes929 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I like Bremer ok but let it go already. If the Twins wanted Sano to get more competietive at bats they could have activated him sooner, given him more at bats on Friday or had him bat leadoff any time. I doubt it was a make or break at bat for Sano. Besides which Detroit has no obligation whatsoever to accomodate the wishes of the Twins or of Dick Bremer. I like Bert's attitude much better.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Who thinks Perk will retire after this batter? I don't. I think we'll see him next spring, but I don't know if he'll have the oomph to hit 93, which is about the minimum it'll take to get guys out with his heater on the corners.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Let's vulture a win for Perkins! 3-2 lead still stands for Detroit going into the bottom of the 9th.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 The shot of Perkins in the dugout makes me sad. Hopefully he can vulture a win

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Thank you, Glen.Concur.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 i think he'll retireAfter seeing him weep on the bench, yeah, that could be it. On the other hand, sometimes a guy will change his mind around the time people take down their ice fishing houses. No law against staying in shape, and maybe the arm will feel a little better after a few more months of working out. If he hangs 'em up, then I agree with Bert - great career for Glen Perkins.

Way to ruin a perfectly delightful evening, Dick. Not often that Bert makes more sense than Bremer, tonight was one of those times.

Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I can't stand Castro and this game is another example. He cost us the game.
