Welcome, threaders, to the last game thread in September and the penultimate game thread of the regular season. It’s fun to put that adjective in front of season, because this isn’t the penultimate th

"Penultimate." Had to laugh. When I'm running around the track, I always do a British sports announcer in my head: "And Circus Boy leads by 5 yards at the start of the penultimate lap!" I always win.

Are you saying SSO is Squeaky Fromme, and the attempt to assassinate Ford was to impress Gorg?

Well, I'm definitely NOT saying that Kevin Gorg has any relation with Charlie Manson. Definitely NOT.

There's a good chance this is Tonkin's last outing as a Twin.

Or, y'know, maybe Tonkin becomes a solid reliever for another team and 8 years from now, the Twins go dumpster diving and sign him to a minor league contract. With all of the zany things that happen here, that wouldn't surprise me very much.

Just a reminder: this game is not over until Romine pitches in the ninth. I'm predicting that Sano hits a 9-run homerun.

Not 2 or 5 or 7, but 9!

Well spoke... Had to go look up the reference i was attributing to you making.

(not to overly confuse folk, it came up on youtube as 9 bladed sword)
