akmanak Verified Member Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 How long do we keep saying this? I know a bunch of you just love his defense, but that is all he has is his defense. Yup he is young but the problem with that is he is hitting in AAA and just cant hit major league pitching. Bring someone else on that can hit and field. All Buxton is missing right now is his offense, if he starts to succeed in that department he is a Hall of Famer.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 I did not know that one, but looked it up. Good one! Thanks for reminding me... meant to go back and plug in the answer after people had a chance to guess/google.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 Just surf through the one on Californium. The two chapters after Californium were about Silicon, which looked like a fake and unnatural place to put them.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Yes, yes...very athletic. Back in the day, a certain Captain I loved to watch would have wanted Vargas for his crew...

Yup he is young but the problem with that is he is hitting in AAA and just cant hit major league pitching. Bring someone else on that can hit and field. Good grief stop it with this nonsense. Buxton is a big big reason this team is in first and not in last. His defense alone makes him a valuable player - he is, bar none, the best defensive center fielder in the league. Absent the first couple of weeks of the season, and he's hitting at a relatively decent clip. Sure, he went 0-4 today. But he went 3-3 yesterday with a homer a double, a single and a walk, and he was 2-4 the game before that. Some players just take longer to adjust. Give him time and he'll be fine. But even if he isn't, his defense is all world.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Well, it's maybe not quite how they drew it up, but the Twins pulled off the split in the series, and added the bonus of another excellent Berrios start. http://i.imgur.com/f6nju.gif

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 this is fake, right? Yes, good eye. No serious bowler would have his shirt tucked in.

I did finally go back and add the answer to my post, but with encryption rivaling U-boat Enigma codes. Giver-uppers will have to push through to ash's post at the end to find the answer.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 Fudge. I was having network troubles, thus had a backlog of posts to check, and I took the shortcut of doing a search on "Hale". Next time I'll include spoonerisms too, and maybe anagrams.
