Game Thread: Twins v Mariners, 6/15 @ 12:10pm CDT

[John Kelsey]

Held my breath on that one.

[John Kelsey]

I enjoy and loathe the fact that Buxton is not afraid of walls.

Think they've considered putting more padding in center? (Not a joke)

[akmanak]

All Buxton has right now is his defense, if he starts to fail in that department he is toast.

[wsnydes]

When Vanimal gets back from vacation, I think we should tell him that we not only found Waldo, but Carmen Sandiego as well.

[Aggies7]

Byron needs to stop doing that

[USAFChief]

Not afraid, or not aware?

[wsnydes]

Not afraid, or not aware?

Yes.

[USAFChief]

I've been reading a book about the elements.  The chapter on helium is so good I couldn't put it down.

nice outing for Berrios today.

[Circus Boy]

Hope Berrios comes out for the 8th to go after their bigger hitters.

dickbert:  "Fly ball to center, carrying deep...Buxton goes back..."

Maybe we can trap Belisle in there.

Do you think that's a good idea?  Both benches have already been warned.

[LaBombo]

Not afraid, or not aware?

I'm leaning toward the latter, but hoping he can add that awareness to his game before he Rodney Mccrays through an outfield wall. At the limits of his range he's like a border collie chasing a Frisbee into traffic.

PS Bonus Twins Trivia Fanatic points for naming the hitter in that clip.

Hint: Rhymes with "Hip Chale"

I've been reading a book about the elements.  The chapter on helium is so good I couldn't put it down.

Read the one on Radium at night.

[ashbury]

All Buxton has right now is his defense, if he starts to fail in that department he is toast.

All Buxton is missing right now is his offense, if he starts to succeed in that department he is a Hall of Famer.

[LaBombo]

Maybe we can trap Belisle in there.

He's certainly not going to burn his way out with that heater of his.

[jimbo92107]

Buxton broke the impact by deflecting with his right arm. Prevented a concussion.

The chapter on iron was hard.

They're also bigger than he is.  I'd rather not lose Berrios before his career really gets going.

I inhaled that chapter as well. High point of my day.

What you fail to consider is that the Twins have peanut butter, so, win-win

I like Polanco's "rubber bat" grip. Another power trick.

[ashbury]

Some of these Mariners look like they should be on Milwaukee, with that defense.

[wsnydes]

The chapter on iron was hard.

Sulfur was a real stinker too.

I thought the elements were earth, air, water, fire?
