Quick question for you guys...

I heard that its possible to purchase a 'Single Team Subscription' on their website?

I then went on their website to look for more details but I cant see this option...Obviously I would like to watch many of the Twins game...also I'm based in the UK. Would that matter?

Thanks for your help

You can subscribe from England and access all the Twins games, and every other team as well.

No blackouts for you.

Should be under a 100 bucks by now.

Thanks Old Twin Cap. I guess I might as well go for the $24.99 monthly option rather than the $99.99 yearly cost....at least then if the Twins break my heart I can cancel it early and save some money...plus I'm not sure I'll cope with the time difference watching loads of games live lol

You can stream the games on MLB.TV anytime, you don't have to watch them live.

Nice to see Twins fans abroad! Keep an eye out for any cricket players who look like they could hit a breaking ball.

Of course you can but watching recorded (or finished) games sucks. Especially for something like baseball.

I get emails offering 50% off all the time, in fact i got one today ($49). I'm not sure if its targeting people with audio only subscriptions like me, but i think it actually targets anyone who has an mlb.tv account and has watched the free game of the day before.

I got that 50% off email after watching a free game of the day.

Chiming in to echo the free game of the day hack. Watch a couple, twins or not, and expect an email sent to address you used to login. This is the first year I played full price, every other year I waited until about now and purchased via the discount email link/code.

Kind of pisses me off that they keep sending out those coupons. I've.l been a subscriber every year for the last eight years and pay full price every year. Why can't they offer a promotion to returning customers before the seasons. Kinda bullsh!t if you ask me.

It won't be any use until next year but the best deal is to move to T-Mobile and get free MLB.tv every season. It's basically like getting a free month of your phone once a year if you plan on buying MLB.tv anyway.

It doesn't hurt that T-Mo is the least ethically rotten carrier available, either.

Agreed... And they have a quick trigger finger to automatically renew your account before the season if you're not paying attention. That happened to me this year.

T mobile? Hard pass. I work too hard to use a poor persons cell carrier ;)

What's next, cricket wireless?

You should switch to AT&T brock!

No, I shouldn't. T-Mo's coverage has improved immensely, as they continue to make money and buy spectrum.

And they're not a terrible, rotten company. That matters to me. Without T-Mo, we'd still be stuck under carrier contracts and a slew of other anti-consumer practices that ran rampant through the industry before Legere took over.

I've been a MLB.TV subscriber for years now and watch the games on my Roku streaming device. The quality if terrific (wasn't always that way). The gotcha to look out for is the blackout restrictions. Being a Twins fan living in Texas works out great for me as I can watch nearly all the Twins games Live except when they are playing either the Rangers or the Astros (which is ridiculous as I'm nearly 5 hours from Houston).

To a cord cutter like me it's a great deal for just a little over $100 per year as I have no Cable TV or Satellite contract on top of that.

The other major gotcha is the post-season exclusive contracts. For example, when the playoffs are on TBS, you can ONLY watch them on TBS. Fortunately, this has been solved in the last couple years with services such as Sling TV.

For Midwesterners looking to avoid blackouts, Sling is a very interesting option now. "Sling Blue" at $25 per month gets you a streaming package that includes your local Fox Sports, plus FS1 and TBS for some national games including playoffs. No contract, cancel anytime, so the cost per season is only $150. There are usually promos to get a free streaming device too like a Roku or a Fire TV Stick.

For some of us in the midwest, especially those of us in Iowa, the blackout rules are insane.  I feel no guilt using services to get around this.
