Clearly not a playoff bullpen who needs at least one front of the bullpen addition but I like our bullpen compared to the majority of the league.  People forget most bullpens aren't anywhere close to good.

I'll be surprised, if for no other reason than Duffey will be fully warmed up, but I'm on board for giving it a try.

You were right. Do we run Duffey out there another one?

Adrianza might not have a bat, but at this point neither does Escobar. Adrianza really looks like he belongs with his glove, however.

I could not disagree anymore on your take on Esco.

Don't give me credit for that other one, I was straddling the fence the whole way. I'll do the same here: it was a quick inning for Duffey, so I'd consider it, but it's fine to bring the next guy in too.

How so? He has a .208 average, .and a 264 on base percentage. That isn't great at all, and his defense isn't all that great. I understand he is a clubhouse presence, which certainly helps. However, he is nothing special at all, imo.

Escobar is a proven major league baseball player. You underrate him as a defender and 2 years and the year before he was a super solid offensive contributor as our starting SS. Escobar is not in the least a problem on this ball club. His numbers will equalize, he has already contributed with some big hits. He has HR pop in his bat along with EBH capability. I believe most clubs would be happy to have him as there UT guy.

Escobar certainly isn't lighting the world on fire this year, but he has some proven offensive abilities. He's had stretches where he has been downright good at the plate.

Add that to being a switch hitter, the fact that he'll play off the bench without complaint, and play nearly anywhere defensively, and I'm not sure what more you can ask for out of a utility guy. I don't think Jose Altuve or Carlos Correia will be available anytime soon....

Phew. Pujols would be slow for a beer league baserunner

He's crippled up. Like David Ortiz last year, if he went solely by what his legs told him, he'd retire.

Belisle in to face Pujols. What could go wrong with such a plan?

Apparently nothing. This time.
