For whatever flaws Rosario and Buxton have shown at the plate, you really can't beat having their defense gobbling up those shots to the gap.

Yeah but we should be able to expect a hit every once in an olympics (in buxtons case)

Lefties only for Breslow? Molitor's choices are a bit puzzling. When a guy looks good, leave him in! Especially with Pressly, when he's on, his stuff gets a lot of whiffs.

How many times do you see a guy come up 15 feet short on a dive in the outfield and then hit a home run the next half inning?

Answer -- when we edit it that way.

3 bad pitches have cost us tonite.

What was Souza doing?!?

He was liking that Matt Belisle meatball, apparently.

I'm so confused. I get home, turn the game on and Matty B. gives up a HR on the first pitch I see.

Yet Richard keeps talking about how well he's pitched this year and how his stats are deceiving. I just don't get it.

Wondering if Sousa would trade his home run for the chance to erase his highlight reel whiff from the baseball archives.

I'm guessing if he thought he'd get another crack at Belisle in this series he probably would.

That's a good plan, embarrass oneself by making the most unnecessary dive in baseball history, then demolish one in your next at bat

Lull the opponent into believing that you're incompetent. Works every time.

98 mph 95 pitches and with a devestation slider to go with it. Just doesn't seem fair.

And he's doing it in the 8th inning!

His ERA is a hefty 7.80, but his xFIP is a comparatively svelte 5.89.  So Politifact rates this Dickensian fact

, and yet utterly meaningless.

I'm watching the Rays broadcast and they're loving every minute of that dive.  Apparently he's a goofball and his kooky antics are a big hit.  To be honest, I kinda liked that dive too!

Sano up with the potential to tie it up with a HR in the 8th.  AND they're pulling Archer!   Happy to see this development.

It was so bad that even he had to laugh at it. It sounds like he might be the kind of guy who'd rather see a silly highlight of himself after he retires than none at all, which is the way I'd want to think of if something like that happened to me.

Come to think of it, something like that does happen to me, usually at least once a week, just not on a baseball field.

Sano with some lumberjack cuts lately.  If that lumberjack were trying to chop down a highly elusive and agile tree.

You'd think he'd accidentally put one in play at some point.

His BABIP hasn't moved since Monday.

That's one positive, I guess.

Rays going for the four out save with Colome.

Next you're gonna tell me it's legal to use the closer in a tie game...

Rifle shot right at the center fielder. Damn your perfect swing, Kepler!
