amjgt Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Why the hell would they pinch run for Vargas? notoriousgod71, Aggies7 and LaBombo 3
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Pinch running for Vargas in a three run game. You just insist on doing this, don't you, Paul? Please tell me one benefit of doing this. LaBombo 1
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Why the hell would they pinch run for Vargas? He does this with Sano all the time too. It pisses me off.

amjgt Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Vargas might as well be a ghost runner at this point. jud6312 1
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 C'mon, Rosie, at least add a virtually meaningless RBI to make the Rays sweat a little!

amjgt Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 My brain can't create a scenario where pinch running Andianza for Vargas could benefit the 9th inning whatsoever. The only scenario was that the Twins tie it up and it ends up being a net negative. Platoon 1

The chances of this happening are very slim but I can understand the rationale.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I'll say this: pinch running for Vargas in the 9th makes a lot more sense than pinch hitting for him in the 7th. Danchat 1

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Oh well. I guess we lost. Did we at least lose gracefully? Like the good sports we are? And looking at our home road splits, my, but we are the gracious hosts...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 What reason is that? Why not 10? 7?Er... Then they would be etnings? or esvenings? But you didn't really need me to tell you that... Which i guess is how come i waited until the game was over to get around to it. Sorry for my slow response time.
