jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Lefties only for Breslow? Molitor's choices are a bit puzzling. When a guy looks good, leave him in! Especially with Pressly, when he's on, his stuff gets a lot of whiffs. bird and wsnydes 2
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 How many times do you see a guy come up 15 feet short on a dive in the outfield and then hit a home run the next half inning? Answer -- when we edit it that way. 3 bad pitches have cost us tonite. LaBombo 1
bighat Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 What was Souza doing?!? He was liking that Matt Belisle meatball, apparently.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 That's a good plan, embarrass oneself by making the most unnecessary dive in baseball history, then demolish one in your next at bat wsnydes 1
jud6312 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I'm so confused. I get home, turn the game on and Matty B. gives up a HR on the first pitch I see. Yet Richard keeps talking about how well he's pitched this year and how his stats are deceiving. I just don't get it. bird 1
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Wondering if Sousa would trade his home run for the chance to erase his highlight reel whiff from the baseball archives. bighat, Linus and wsnydes 3

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 98 mph 95 pitches and with a devestation slider to go with it. Just doesn't seem fair. bighat 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Buxton vs archer is similar to me vs archer wsnydes 1
bighat Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Twins wasting leadoff hits in the 7th and 8th with reckless abandon.
bighat Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 98 mph 95 pitches and with a devestation slider to go with it. Just doesn't seem fair. And he's doing it in the 8th inning! wsnydes 1

Yet Richard keeps talking about how well he's pitched this year and how his stats are deceiving. I just don't get it. His ERA is a hefty 7.80, but his xFIP is a comparatively svelte 5.89. So Politifact rates this Dickensian fact http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/08/03/tom.mostly.art.jpg , and yet utterly meaningless. Edited May 27, 2017 by LaBombo Blake and jud6312 2
bighat Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Wondering if Sousa would trade his home run for the chance to erase his highlight reel whiff from the baseball archives. I'm watching the Rays broadcast and they're loving every minute of that dive. Apparently he's a goofball and his kooky antics are a big hit. To be honest, I kinda liked that dive too! jud6312 and LaBombo 2
bighat Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Sano up with the potential to tie it up with a HR in the 8th. AND they're pulling Archer! Happy to see this development.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Now would be a good time for a 4th K *reverse jinx alert LaBombo 1

Apparently he's a goofball and his kooky antics are a big hit. To be honest, I kinda liked that dive too! It was so bad that even he had to laugh at it. It sounds like he might be the kind of guy who'd rather see a silly highlight of himself after he retires than none at all, which is the way I'd want to think of if something like that happened to me. Come to think of it, something like that does happen to me, usually at least once a week, just not on a baseball field. bighat 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 7 k's in a row for sano lol cmon that's absurd
