Welcome to another fantastic Twins Daily Game Thread!  

 

It looks like our evening game has been postponed due to rain and thunderstorms.  Since the game has been rescheduled I will not post my usual intelligent and stimulating introduction.  In light of the current circumstances, I will instead fill in our gentle readers on the day I experienced...I was invited last night to participate in the Minnetonka Lions Club annual crappie tournament on Lake Minnetonka today.  

 

I arose out of bed this morning at 5:15am excited and ready to win this event.  I proceeded to get my gear together and brewed a pot of coffee.  After some coffee and a quick breakfast I made my way out to my friend's dock and climbed onto his boat.  Everything was going great so far.  I did notice the temperature seemed a little bit "chilly".  I looked at my phone and it said the air temperature was 35 degrees.  Is this spring? It can't be THAT bad I told myself. 

 

About an hour into our fishing tournament I noticed my fingers were kind of numb.  Since it wasn't my boat I was the anchor boy today.  Wet fingers in 35 degree temps make most people irritable.  Not me.  I kept up the facade.  This is fun I told myself.  After about 3 hours (and no fish) I thought about my Game Thread post that needed to be written.  It truly warmed my soul.  It only lasted 10 minutes before I decided I wanted to go in.  My fishing partner laughed when I said maybe its time to head in.  He explained slowly and with honest enthusiasm it was a tournament and we needed to stay the course (he was wearing gloves, hat and snowmobile suit)...Please I begged, I need to write a Game Thread introduction.  "I don't care,"  he exclaimed loudly.  

 

Guess I'm not going home early...Do you have any booze on this boat?, I asked longingly.  

 

Oh well, long story short.  I am still cold.  My fingers  dan't wrk so wel and Im kina delereos.  Hop yu all have a wonferl evning.  Go Twns!!!!!

 

No lineups:  RAIN OUT!

Did you eventually catch anything? It seems very cold for crappie fishing, but cold enough for crappy fishing.

Caught 4 crappies and one bass.  All released.  Nothing worth while to weigh in at official scales.  Did have fun though!

Whoever the Moderator was that fixed the Game Thread introduction to POSTPONED, thank you.  You might also want to add to the title: POSTPONED, but still POSTING.

It sounds like weather for it.

I bet the Twins are better at fishing than the Royals.

Only because the recent versions of the Twins have had more time off than the Royals...

Glad I don't have to miss the game ... off to the theatre! :)

Real theatre and not a movie? Actors on a stage? That's something I miss about Minneapolis as I do love theatre.

My Fair Lady at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

You said you were going to the theater earlier. Is it a play or musical? Just curious because I'm wondering why the theater version wouldn't still be called Pygmalion.

I listened to The Royals announce crew last night. Man, Rex Hudler. Tough to listen to. Cringey.

The same crew used to announce for the Angels.
