DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 $150 on the Twins to win it all at 200:1 odds Best.Bet.Ever 162-0 here we come!
AZTwin Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Not bad. Probably about the amount I put on that line
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Author Posted April 8, 2017 Not bad. Probably about the amount I put on that lineI don't think the Twins can pull it off, but 200:1 is too good to pass up. I'd personally put them at about 80:1 since they were young, and anything can happen in sports.

mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 $150 on the Twins to win it all at 200:1 oddsBest.Bet.Ever162-0 here we come! I'm such a non gambler, I was and am confident this is a minimum playoff contender but I just couldn't make that bet. That being said if you've taken the Twins at whatever odds they gave you since 1961 you're ahead of the game.
AZTwin Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I forget the site but there's a site out there where you can sell future bets like this. I imagine those odds will go up. That might be worthwhile for you to look into
akmanak Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I ended up getting 175 to 1 odds. Only put 50 down but that would be one helluva a payoff.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Actually surprised the odds aren't higher, but Vegas knows more than most of us. Suddenly feeling better about my prediction of 80+ wins. Lol Don't have the money to bet, even were I a gambling man,and would enjoy the payout if I were, and could use it, my payoff would be it actually happening. Some things are just....PRICELESS!
Old Twins Cap Verified Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 So, what is the payoff on $100 at 150 to 1?
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 So, what is the payoff on $100 at 150 to 1?$15,100
Blake Verified Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Remember, the line will change depending on the amount of money bet on the Twins. The odds will shorten in a hurry if a lot of money is bet on the Twins. I will put money on the Twins when I'm in Laughlin in May. But, I doubt I'll get anything close to 150 to 1.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2017 Author Posted May 13, 2017 Current odds are now 35:1 to 50:1 depending on where you look.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Current odds are now 35:1 to 50:1 depending on where you look. What is the value of your bet, now? Can you sell it and make money?
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Wish I would have put more!
70charger Verified Member Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 What is the value of your bet, now? Can you sell it and make money? Apropos of nothing Twins, that's an interesting question. Are bets transferable? If so, does anyone trade them like options?
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Apropos of nothing Twins, that's an interesting question. Are bets transferable? If so, does anyone trade them like options? It depends on where you made the bet. If it's an actual ticket at a casino, they will generally deal with you a bit if it's worth their while. Online sites it varies to which ones will give you an offer to cash out on tickets like that.

If they make the World Series I will just hedge $3,000-$4,000 or so on their opponent, that will pay for a couple World Series tix, travel, accommodations and enough left over for a stupid bet next year
