After being swept out of Detroit by the Murder City Kitties, the White Sox flew into Minny looking to bounce back against the MLB worst Twins who were in the middle of a 13 game skid. Yup, I said "were" - that's all you need to know. Sigh.

However, when I begin to feel like we don't know how to win, I find consolation in the thought that the Twins really don't know how to win. Buxton does, yes. The Twins do not.

Five things I recently realized I don't know how to do:

1 - Use a TV. Yup. I kid you not. Still learning.

2 - Use a dishwasher. Mmhmm.

3 - Laundry. Ugh. Why do I not know how to do this? I want to move to some remote island in the Caribbean so I don't have to worry about these things anymore. Anyone on board with this idea? Wait … it might be a bad idea to place this advertisement on a sports forum with a high population of slightly-below-average looking single young men. Never mind … anyway, I don't want Brock or ChiTown to ban me.

4 - Go Twins. Gave that up a while ago. (Go Sox!!)

5 - Discuss.

/Edit: Sorry, Dinger. Sorry, Chief. I was busy. :(

You remind me of a time, maybe 20 years ago, when my late mother-in-law and a friend of hers were thinking of purchasing a condo in the Canary Islands.

They didn't, but man it could have been the ideal retreat from wacko America.

I mean, you think you know a person. First she dares to put Nirvana ahead of the Replacements. Now this.

Variety is the spice, my man.

This is a little bit like: Ginger or Mary Ann? (The answer, of course, is both. Or, if you're Chief, the answer is yes.)

Except that Ginger didn't grow up down the street. And Mary Ann didn't make a bajillion dollars pretending to be Ginger.

Man, you guys. It's cumin. And chili powder. And Nirvana. And Nirvana.

Is Mary Ann a spice or an analogy?

Add an "e" at the end, delete one of the "n's", put a "J' in front of it. It might not be a spice, but it is an herb. Just saying.

I'm going to have to interject here.

Salt.

The Rolling Stones.

Classics, people. The Classics.

Oh, okay. I get it.

Mustard.

The Everly Brothers.

What I like most about Rodon is that by just changing a letter of his name, you can make so many different things: a radioactive noble gas, a master sculptor, or a fictional giant pterosaur.

That's just too cool.
