SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Your future telling game is a bit off today. A lot off
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Thankfully this game isn't televised .FTFY.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 What kind of host expects their guests to supply the beer?!Ones with a .70 cent US dollar exchange rate.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Ones with a .70 cent US dollar.Just buy cheaper beer.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 For what it's worth, johan's ERA through his first 8 games was almost 8.50 and radke's was over 7. if that means anything to ya.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Just buy cheaper beer.You haven't been to Canada......have you?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 You haven't been to Canada......have you?I have, been a while, but I have. I drink whiskey, so I'll take a bottle of Lot 40 rye if that's okay. You can buy the cheapest beer on earth and I won't mind.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 No wonder this game isn't televised .I have MLB Network on my cable and I have nothing else to do. Sad part of being retired watching bad baseball team to pass the time. Still beats working.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 The bats seem to be in as much of a hurry to end this misery as we are.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Calling this brutal baseball is insulting to brutal baseball. Wow.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Tonkin's having a tough series. His chance of finishing the year with a decent ERA is pretty much shot now.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Can the fans storm the the field so we have to forfeit so we can end this misery early? This is sucking all the remaining optimism out of me.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I'm so glad Paul Molitor is going to be leading this team again next year. They're playing some inspired ball behind his leadership right now.

His chance of finishing the year with a decent ERA is pretty much shot now.I know that people like him because he throws hard, but he kind of reminds me of LaTroy Hawkins. Threw hard but straight as an arrow and when they square it up, it goes a long way. It took him about 7 years to figure out that he wasn't going to blow it by anyone.

Unless you throw 103, that fastball best have some movement.

He's still at 10.2 K/9 before the game though. I'm not sure how it's that high.
gocgo Verified Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Ugh...my head hurts...both sides. Would that be bilateral brain weakness? I can't take much more of this.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Here's a fun stat: J.T. Chargois has a rate of 2.2 K/9 in his first 8.1 innings.

Circus Boy Verified Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Now we're rolling. Chased their phenom and we'll feast on their weak pen.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Here's a fun stat: J.T. Chargois has a rate of 2.2 K/9 in his first 8.1 innings. The new Twins way is "We do less with more". Come up to the Majors and we will turn you into a pumpkin.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 The new Twins way is "We do less with more". Come up to the Majors and we will turn you into a pumpkin. Pat Light supposedly throws 99-100 in the minors. Wellll, more like 94-95 when he pitches for the Twins.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Jorge Polanco is the best.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 I believe in Das Bat. I believe.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Breaking news: The Twins have remembered how to hit the ball. We'll update you if they ever remember how to pitch as well.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Max Kepler is the best too.
KidBro Verified Member Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 At some point, don't we need to see Berrios put up a quality start??? We can continue to compare his high ERA, Whip, BB/9 etc. thru his first couple handful of starts next to whoever else compares that went on to have a productive MLB career..... but he at some point needs to just throw a game, so he knows he can each time he toes the rubber.
