jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I think he's looking for just a little more consistency from Santiago, since the homers were to different parts of the park.Perhaps if the batters would hold their bat out and say, "I like 'em right about there." Clearly Santiago was spotting the ball in the area NASA refers to as "Launch Central." Seriously, I've never seen quite such a bad case of Pipeline Fever. Santiago is firing BP nothing balls right down the center of the strike zone. All the Royals are doing is what any major league team would do - wait for the nothing ball of their preference. When you know you're going to get one right down the middle, all you need to do is be a little patient.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Alright Let's start the official Mejia WHIP and ERA Tracker As of Right Now... 0.00 and 0.00 He is our team leader in both categories so he will probably get sent down after the game.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Paul Molitor, before the game: "Don't worry about just getting here, Adalberto, we won't use you tonight unless the game goes extra innings or the starter gets injured." Paul Molitor, fifth inning. "Get Adalberto up and tell him he might be going two or three... Yes, Eddie, innings, not batters".
KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I won't ever miss Ricky, but wow. At least they don't have to tender him a contract this offseason. They won't right? Right!?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Can I steal this and make it my sig?Too late, Molly already did.
Guest Guests Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 In all seriousness, the silver lining of this trade - actually trading Nolasco for someone worse - is that it might push ownership to get a new GM from outside the organization instead of keeping Rob Antony in the position. There's gotta be a bright side.

Platoon Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 It's not often that Dick Bert make an observation that I care to repeat. But they pointed out that the Twins gave up quite a few runs whilst winning 3of 4. You can only mask poor pitching with hitting so long.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 WHIP 2.00ERA 9.00 OK... This isn't any fun anymore.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 If you don't pitch inside, you will surely die.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Bert: 'I see some Francisco Liriano in Mejia when I watch him pitch. Also, I'm higher than the national debt right now'
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Wouldn't the whip be 3.00? At the time it was 3.33 cuz he only had two outs under his belt. It's a fast moving game.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 They're pretty cool. Grow some appreciation for nature, ya old coot. Ah Craig... Umm... He lives in a desert.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 At the time it was 3.33 cuz he only had two outs under his belt. It's a fast moving game.Yes and 2 outs and 2 hits is 3.00 whip, is it not? I don't think it's possible to have a 3.33 whip after 2 outs. The possibilities are0.001.503.004.506.00Etc.Etc. I could be wrong though, I'm not a professional math doer.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Ah Craig... Umm... He lives in a desert. Yup. You've gotta do better than an oversized grasshopper if you want to impress a guy who walks a scorpion the size of a Yorkshire terrier three times a day.

Platoon Verified Member Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Ok, I know what the problem is. We need a rally icon. Rally Mantis, Rally Monkey! We need ideas people! Let's all chip in and help this team find its own identify. Difficult to get into the dugout, but a Rally Rhinoceros would be my choice!
