Twins Trade Sean Burnett

According to Chris Cotillo, the Twins have traded Red Wings LH RP Sean Burnett to the Washington Nationals.

 

The Twins had signed the former All Star to a minor league deal following his release by the Atlanta Braves. He didn't pitch for the Twins in the big leagues.

It was a trade, most likely for cash... probably $1-2. 

 

Sounds like he gave up his opt-out in June with the understanding that if a big league job with a team opened up, he could be dealt. The Nationals said they'll call him up for September.
