I again... can't help but question the assessments being made by our front office.

I imagine no one who has watched Sano at third for more than a couple of games doubts he has the tools to play the position.

I believe the caveats you hear are along two axes: 1) he's not yet consistent, and 2) he's one self-satisfied off-season from eating himself out of any skill position, so why invest further time developing him there.

There's also the presence of Plouffe on the roster. Plouffe is less gifted at this point in their respective careers, but more steady.

Suspect defense, maybe. But I don't think the judgement we've heard has been hopeless defense.

Good start to this inning.

Bases loaded no outs for Sano. Decent start... we'll see how it turns out.

If that's the case... It's quite possible that someone in the front office... over thought it.

For those that think Terry is going anywhere after the season, he has plans to add more old Twins to the front office.Per Berardino:Open invitation remains for Hunter to join #MNTwins front office in some capacity, Ryan said. "When he's ready, he'll let me know."Odds of Terry being the Twins GM next year now stand at 99.5%.

That's down .4 from two weeks ago!

You're referring to the RF experiment? No question in my mind about that. I never thought they'd even go through with it. "Book it", I believe I said last off-season, using a familiar meme of the moment.

Just what you want out of your two hitter in a RISP situation. A friggin walk.

Did you watch the plate appearance?  He got one good pitch on 3-0.  That's it. One. And after the pitcher throws three straight pitches not really close to the strike zone, he should swing at that next pitch?

The rest were horribly away from the strike zone, and he actually had a check swing at one of them because it was, I believe, a slider than looked like it might be a strike coming before going way inside..  He got 5 pitches.  Which pitch not close to the strike zone should he have tried to put in play?

I was talking about food.

I'm not sure what you are talking about.

Do you want my opinion on your post? Spoiler alert: it's very witty and trenchant.

For RB:  "trenchant"

1.  incisive or keen, as language or a person; caustic; cutting; trenchant wit

Yes. A good 2 hitter leans in to that 3-0 pitch and rips a line drive.

Good gracious Vargas is slow. Reminds me of playing with donkey kong or bowser on Mario kart

That is why a guy with his skill set really has to mash. Hurts the club on the basepaths and doesn't do much more than fill in occasionally at a position (first).

It makes no sense to me that that padding on OF walls stops about 4 inches or so above the ground.

Why not have it go all the way to the dirt? Leaving that gap at the bottom is just asking for dead balls, and even worse, an invite to an injury.

They'd probably rot from the wetness.
