if your still speaking of Kepler and Zunino, is this two years combined? No way either one of them ever averages that many home runs per year.

Dave claimed Zunino could hit 30+ HR per year. Applying the same math principals, Kepler would hit 50+ I can't clean the math concepts up enough to post and you still might be missing the sarcasm

I think Zunino has 30 HR a season power, he already has 40 HR in 900 some odd major league at bats, and is only 25 years old (power won't hit its peak for another 2-5 years)

He also has 17 HR in 76 games in AAA this year.

So while Zunino may never reach his potential, it isn't out of the realm saying he could someday be a 30 HR a year guy in the majors.

Nobody anywhere would seriously imply that Kepler can hit 50 HR a year. (That's not a knock on him, just the reality)

The only 50 HR guys in the twins system now are Sano and maybe Walker (if he figures it out) 80 power guys are very rare. 30 HR guys, not so much.

For Zunino to get enough AB to hit 30+ HR he would have to play DH every day he does not catch.  Gosh, as Vargas is reaching his potential this year,  you would take away from his greater power potential. And you lost the outfielder with greater power potential.

I can see trading for Zunino but definitely not for Kepler.  Granted, I have a man crush on Kepler but trading a guy who looks like he can be a 2,3, or 5 hole hitter and play good D for a guy who's WRc+ was 47 last year does not seem too prudent.  Zunino is hitting at AAA but he we all know that is no assurance of success at the ML level.   I would love to see them get him for Nunez given our current catching situation but not at the expense of a top 5 or 6 prospect.
