For example, my brother (eight years older than me so late 40s) and his friends do not play video games today, though they played as teenagers.

 

By comparison, I can't think of any of my friends who don't play video games today (early 40s).

 

I suspect it had something to do with whether you grew up playing video games from birth (which made it a part of your continuing life) or whether you began playing later (which places it as a childhood pursuit to be abandoned in adulthood).

 

Just an observation I've noticed over the years.

I think the video game issue is that people in their late 40's probably first played Atari, and everything today pales in comparison when it comes to graphics.

This is getting a little intense, it is like the Cola Wars of the 1980's again, but without Michael Jackson's hair catching on fire.  I guess as long as it does not trigger the return of Crystal Pepsi we will be able to get through this.
