ashbury Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 One of the myriad things that the twins have been abysmal at all season is executing bunts. So why not put on a suicide squeeze with one of the few guys who have been hitting well recently. The only excuse I can think of is that it's Plouffe on third, with that gimpy leg or whatever. The bunt lets him trot in to the plate, as opposed (say) to having to go full-bore and slide into home on a fly ball.
wavedog Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 What a play by Sano! Got him at the right position. HitInAPinch, notoriousgod71 and Jerr 3
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Nah, I still think sano is more comfortable in right. ashbury 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 That's the play Sano can make, time after time! Great one. Jerr and HitInAPinch 2

If that's the case though, he really shouldn't even be in the lineup. Too much of a liability. ashbury 1

HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Buxton singles! He's been making a lot of contact recently. Only a matter of time....
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 That's the play Sano can make, time after time! Great one.He is really good at coming in on the ball. Surprising he can make those off-balance throws.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Good ol' fashioned summer nighttime thunderstorm rolling through right now at my place.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Buxton singles! It looks just like a line drive in the box score.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Good ol' fashioned summer nighttime thunderstorm rolling through right now at my place.Small world.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 He is really good at coming in on the ball. Surprising he can make those off-balance throws. To his left, to his right, shots right at him, high popups... not so much. But his one polished skill at third is a good'un. I'll stick my neck out, with no inside knowledge at all, and say that he's a bit scared of the ball. On the slow rollers, with no risk of a bad hop, he's fearless, and good. HitInAPinch 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Welp, I'm not sure how many more ways we can get ourselves out of an inning. ashbury 1
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Shoot. Sano didn't look too good running to 1st. ashbury 1
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 I didn't notice it when he was drafted, but Buxton has an old face relative to his actual years. With the helmet on, he could pass for 35. The facial hair adds to it, of course. But Kepler can grow his scrawny beard all he wants, and he still looks like Der Kid. And Sano's face just look like an infant's to me.
