HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 D Santana pinch running. Please, for the love of Baby Jesus, NO BUNTS!
gil4 Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 I guess Plouffe plays better when his spot is threatened. I'd say that's a good reason to keep sending Sano out there. (There are plenty of better reasons, but we can add one more.) Hosken Bombo Disco 1
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Hit and runAlas, neither happened. Well, after Plouffe's at bat. On to a 10th inning.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Have we run out of jokes? Or should i dredge up one or two for extras?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Abad...turning into what we feared he'd be. HitInAPinch 1
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Welp, maybe Abad was only ever a guy to use vs lefties HitInAPinch 1
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 This bullpen looks like a good bullpen.Or not. Aggies7 and HitInAPinch 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 (edited) That dang rule about using your best relievers only one inning at a time comes back and bites us again. Wish they'd change that. Edited July 2, 2016 by Aggies7 HitInAPinch 1

(There are plenty of better reasons, but we can add one more.)As I've said elsewhere, I think there was actually a plan in the works here. Kepler becomes a full-time RF when Sano gets hurt, Plouffe starts getting playing time at other positions while Sano is playing third at AAA. When Sano is called up, Park goes down. Room to rotate Plouffe at 1st, 3rd and DH. Next would be sending Grossman down and bringing up Eddie Rosario. A youth movement sneaking up on us! Hosken Bombo Disco and SwainZag 2

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Dear Byron, Please do not look down at your right wrist and flex it like that immediately after making a great catch against the fence and bracing yourself with said right wrist. It scares us. Sincerely, Twins Daily game thread denizens SwainZag 1

SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Yeah texas used Matt Bush for two innings, I noticed. Oh well. Meh. If Rogers or Kintzler would have given it up someone would have put "why they send him out there for an another inning when you have an 8 man pen?" or tomorrow when Rogers is unavailable because he threw 2 innings tonight you would hear, "Thanks Mollie, great job wasting him yesterday." Abad pitched yesterday and poorly. One of those two guys could have gone one more. Not that it matters.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 I simply cannot fathom how major league hitters cannot bunt. Although it may just be our team.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Welp if we're going to praise his defense, we have to acknowledge that was an atrocious at bat. gil4 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 I don't even know how many losses this is, 50some, but God almighty that was a wretched bottom of the 10th inning. So tired of the same junk.
