jimmer Verified Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 I haven't watched any of the games the past three days- how did Dick and Smalley spin the Arcia trade? As far as I know, they ignored it completely., though I haven't watched every inning
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Smalley: "They're looking to get better." That's why he gets the big bucks to be a TV analyst, I guess.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 "Where would Suzuki fit in with the organization's plans?" JFC, Dick, get it together.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Let me tell you how it will beAll teh hits for meCos I'm the
spinowner Provisional Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Thin at catcher or not, Suzuki has become our best trade chip.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Thin at catcher or not, Suzuki has become our best trade chip.Quite possibly true, and quite possibly the most damning thing one could say about the shape of the organization.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Dick is now seriously pimping Suzuki for all-star.

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Dick loves that the 1992 Padres had to have a representative in the all-star game. I would suppose so since Gwynn, McGriff, and Sheffield all had big offensive years.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 TIX announcers are talking about how the Axman is the Twins MVP
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 I'm OK with the "every team has at least one All Star" rule. It's the All Star game, fans of every team, especially kids, should have someone there from the team they follow. I don't give a crap if it means the Yankees or Dodgers get 4 instead of 5, and I don't give a crap if it means some mediocrity having a great year doesn't get to go.

jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Whatever Dick is smoking with his Suzuki and Mauer deserve All-Star consideration idea, I would like some and in equal amounts so that stupid things I say sound good in my head.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Weren't they actually at least an average team that year, too? I recall them being at least decent around that time.I'm guessing Dick or perhaps the poster confused teams. The 1992 Padres went 82-80
jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 They're talking Ozzy trade now. Basically how they're getting a player to be named later or cash and explaining how that works. As if Terry isn't going to take the cash. And they quickly changed the subject to McPhail getting dinner for trading Winfield in 94.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Sometimes those PTBNL turn out okay. Its how we got David Arias.
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Smalley saying Santana is very valuable. I threw up a little in my mouth.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Sometimes those PTBNL turn out okay. Its how we got David Arias.Winner.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Sometimes those PTBNL turn out okay. Its how we got David Arias.Whatever happened to old David? Did he amount to much?
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Oh man, I just hate seeing A-roid strike out......
jud6312 Verified Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Sometimes those PTBNL turn out okay. Its how we got David Arias. No doubt, but Terry is almost always going to choose cash. Which is good because he can't waste cash's option years or wait until after its prospect status has passed to try and trade it.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Gotta go. I'm expecting everyone on this thread to do everything possible to help this team to victory. No jinxes!
