USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Brian didn't talk about his "defense" tonight playing softball. From what I hear, he wondered why the ball kept getting bigger and bigger...and then it hit him.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I was at the game last night and saw Kepler take some time signing autographs. He seems like a good kid. It was fun bonding with other California Twins fans and seeing Buxton's first home run. In hindsight I should have gone to the left field bleachers and made an offer to buy that baseball. I wonder whether the Twins were able to get it.Wasn't some gamethreader also at the game he hit his first home run last year? Riverbrian, perhaps? In Detroit? Either way, here's to many more! Edit: glad i can remember things... But i should really get to the end before posting, shouldn't i? Leastwise until i master the art of asynchronous posting...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 On a completely unrelated note, looking at the sidebar to the right of this thread, has the Vikings Journal been taken over by people posting spam?I noticed that too.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I swear to.... Y'know, if we stop scoring runs, I'll bet Erv will stop giving 'em up, maybe....

glunn Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I would have bought his third. Why NotYes, but for a lot less than his first.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 On a completely unrelated note, looking at the sidebar to the right of this thread, has the Vikings Journal been taken over by people posting spam?I think Bonnes subcontracted some of the writing to a Bangledeshi outfit.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 Yes, but for a lot less than his first. You bargain hard don't ya.
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 I want to see the Twins walk Trout to get to Pujols. His last season with an OPS over .780 was 2012. Crazy.

glunn Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 You bargain hard don't ya. I believe in not overpaying. That's part of what makes me unhappy with some of TR's free agent acquisitions, including Santana
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 OK Arcia. Let's see something....

tobi0040 Verified Member Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 The Cards reportedly offered Pujols $210M.If memory serves a small 2 percent stake in the franchise. And a statue. Which is obviously more important. That is the thing about STL. Great franchise. Made good decisions. But they dodged a bullet on this one.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 The Cards reportedly offered Pujols $210M.I bet that they are now glad that he did not accept.
