operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 What are the Twins magic words? How about ..."total system failure" Blake 1
David HK Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Say, the Lynx are 8-0 in this young WNBA season. Go, gals! I'm a Lynx fan, and not just 'cuz I like teal, or whatever the hell color they wear. Ya, by golly, it's nice to have one team in the Land of Sky Blue Waters that doesn't suck, you betcha. Blake Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Bases loaded, Mauer at the plate. But was I was worried the Twins bases-loaded run of futility was in jeopardy? Nope. David HK 1
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Twins are breaking the cardinal rule when facing a knuckleballer: Don't over-swing and don't swing at everything. Ok, that's 2 rules. Blake, Riverbrian, USAFChief and 1 other 4
David HK Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Gawd, I hate the Red Sox. Nothing gave me more glee than that Bobby Valentine year. And I hate them even more now, they've got all these damn good young guys. Killer B's 2.0, with Bradley, Boegarts, and Betts. They're going to not suck for a long time to come, dammit. spinowner and HitInAPinch 2
David HK Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Call to the bullpen: OK, who's got the gas can out there today? Riverbrian 1
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Actually, they wouldn't get the money they wanted. But, yeah, Twins defense is atrocious. Can't remember ever seeing it this bad. But sadly it was inevitable. Almost every position decision was made on ANTICIPATED offense. So we ended up with no offense, no defense, and no pitching. HitInAPinch 1
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 What an absolute disaster!
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 A TWINS INFIELDER CAUGHT THE BALL !!! boy, I hope I run outta posts soon... Blake and Riverbrian 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Another sub 6 inning performance by the starting pitcher. The bullpen car's tires are as bald as my head Riverbrian 1
David HK Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Call to the bullpen: OK, who's got the gas can out there today? Heh... I had to quote meself-- Coach: Anybody know where May left the gas can last night? Jeps: Here it is, coach, under the bench! Coach: Grab it, and get in there, boy! Riverbrian 1
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 But sadly it was inevitable. Almost every position decision was made on ANTICIPATED offense. So we ended up with no offense, no defense, and no pitching. So, the Twins Way is no more?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Jepsen taken out of the closer's roll... Twins need a closer? Riverbrian 1
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 From closer by default to the 6th inning ...lol
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Miguel Sano leads the Twins with 27 RBI. Boston has SIX players with more than that. Including one with more than DOUBLE that. I know it's fashionable to think RBI is a meaningless stat. I do not concur. EDIT: With that 2 run double, make it seven players with more than Sano's 27. David HK Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Oh, well there you go, Bert explains why we suck. It's just bad timing.
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Bert said the location of the curveball and consistency was a problem, and the location of the FB. (Other than that there are no problems) Riverbrian and USAFChief 2
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 After hearing all about Byung Ho's balcony, it feels safe to turn in for the evening. Riverbrian 1
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 So are we posting to the death now or are we expecting the Twins game to do that for us?Seemed like a good idea at the time... And my bad on the first three runs. I remembered i might be close enough to hear the game, and found an fm station just in time to hear that play out... Riverbrian 1
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 So, the Twins Way is no more? It has went the way of the Dinasaur and Brian's car! HitInAPinch 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Jepsen looks shell shocked.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Yep, I guess I can go to the store now.
