I'd love it if Molitor would watch Maddon for awhile. 

 

I'd have loved it if Ryan and Pohlad had made Maddon an offer he couldn't refuse three years ago.

Sadly, that class is finished now. I must find some other early Saturday AM torturous thing to do... (thought ellipses). Anything that might be worse from 8-1030 on Saturday AM than middle school remedial grammar?
I'm open to suggestions... (expectant ellipses)

 

I'm not sure what people do in that part of the world. Go to the Beach... look for MSG and Skip rocks into ocean... See how close to Taiwan you can get.

Meh. Twins are 2-1 in World Series play. I would rather the Vikings not make it if they were going to lose since that would put them in record territory.

Has anyone ever counted how many times Sgt. Elias was shot in Platoon, and kind of ironic isn't it...? Willem Dafoe showed more life than the Twins, even after the 20th NVA AK-47 gunshot wound.

I finally stopped wondering and did the research myself.

 

OTDIH 13 years ago, the Detroit Tigers had just lost their second game of a series in Cleveland to make their record 9-34. At that point in the season, they had been outscored by opponents by 86 runs.

 

The Twins just lost their second game in a series against Toronto, but our record is 10-31, and we've only been outscored by 75.

 

My heartfelt apologies, fellow martyrs. We're not about to make history. :(

 

As we all know, the Tigers' record for that year was 43-119, coming just one loss shy of tying the '62 Mets for most losses in modern major league history and finishing 47 games behind a different Twins team.

Forgotten was a game vs the Twins very late in the season:  Twins were up like 9-0 in the third--then the skies opened-up and it poured.  The rules at that time washed those innings away and the game was restarted at 0-0, the Tigers eventually won it.  So, they really should have been 42-120.

I was kind of hoping the Twins would go with Gene Glynn as manager. Glynn spent some time in the Rays organization, and has several years experience managing in the Twins minors. I got the impression he was a good motivator.

Don't tell me you watched the 2010 season and then entered cryogenic sleep thinking "2016 will be much better!" That'd be pretty disappointing.
